  • Perfect stay in a very charming and perfectly located apartment

"This apartment was a high light of our trip through Tuscany. This apartment is something very special! It is perfectly located in the historic city center of Siena and we could reach all sights and monuments within a short walk. The famos Piazza del Campo is just a 4 minutes walk distant and some of the most famos restaurants are ´just around the corner. The apartment is very well kept and lovely done in the typical Siense stile which is not so much common any more as we learned during our trip.We loved these old beams and the traditional "cotto" floor. TV, internet and air condition worked very good (which is not very common from our Tuscany experience). The apartment is very quiet at nigh and the kitchen equipment was very good. The bath room is small but staying for one week in Siena we learned that space is very "precious" in these very old buildings and what ever place we went, we noticed that all restaurants and bars etc. where small places . This is due to the way houses where build once as we got explained. Staying in this apartment we left like local Sienese and we spent some very pleasant days in this apartment. The host is so pleasant and timely on response and so informative to her area. Huge help! Sabine her friend (helped with check in) is just darling, extremely helpful and friendly and so sweet! We had a very pleasant stay and will recommend this place to our friends."

  • The Garden Flat is Great

"My wife and I stayed in the Garden Flat for 2 weeks in November. The location is just a 10 minute walk to the San Marco gate to Siena. It served as a perfect base for our exploration of Toscana. All of the hill towns are within an hour and a half drive. This made for easy day trips. The Garden Flat is spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and the bathroom worked well for us. It is quiet and secure and we had no problem parking our rental car. Rhoda, our hostess is a delight! Very accommodating with lots of great information. Extremely helpful with making dinner reservations and suggesting activities and sights to see. Rhoda is an expat Brit with a wonderful sense of humor. We left feeling as though we had made a very good friend. I highly recommend Rhoda and the Garden Flat"

  • Vacation in Siena

"This was a wonderful property with all the comforts of home. It was roomy and comfortable, very clean and had everything we needed. It was conveniently located near major freeways, within 15 minutes of the historic area of Siena and about an hour 15 minutes from Florence. We traveled all over Tuscany and Umbria with this home as our base and it was convenient for all of our travels."

  • Villa Colombaio was perfect in every way: The size and condition of the villa, the views, the birds

"When we arrived late on a Saturday afternoon, Anna was there to greet us with a big smile and warm reception. It was a perfect start to a month in the perfect place. She showed us around and answered all of our questions and let us get settled in. I had asked if they could provide some wine for our first few days in case we didn't have time to get to a store. There was a good supply of their wine (Tenuta Larnianone) waiting for us - we especially liked the Bragia. It was just an example of how they provide great service; anything we requested was provided promptly and with a smile. The villa is roomy (5 bedrooms with a total of 8 beds); 3 full baths, huge living and dining areas - our group was 8 people for almost 2 weeks and we were never cramped. The kitchen is quite well equipped and fully functional; we cooked dinner every night for 28 nights. The environment around the villa is heavenly: The views are exceptional - vineyards, wheat fields, forests, rolling hills, distant villas and towns - a classic Tuscan setting. There is the constant sound of song birds, pheasants, doves, and various other birds. We occasionally saw dear and other wildlife. There is a peacefulness and beauty that makes it a perfect getaway. Anna and Duccio were around but never intruding. We had two different family groups over our 28 day stay; and twice Duccio providing interesting and informative tours of the wine cellar (The Cantina). They provide a weekly cleaning service that was thorough and efficient. Well worth the cost. As we were planning to leave both Anna and Duccio warmly expressed their thanks for our staying at their villa; and welcomed us back. We highly recommend Villa Colombaio and Tenuta Larnianone. If we ever go back to Tuscany, we will stay at Tenuta Larnianone."
