  • Amazing Experience!!

"We stayed at the castle and it was incredible! Not only is it the coolest place we have ever stayed, the family is beyond friendly and made sure our stay was a great experience! We ate at the farmhouse restaurant and took Nana's cooking class. All were amazing! By the end of our trip it felt like we were part of the family! Highly recommend staying and getting the full experience!"

  • Rustic, private and very charming

"We stayed at this house with our 6 month old baby and were very well catered for. A cot and high chair were provided and due to the house being built on top of a cave, the bedroom (ground floor) stayed nice and cool for the little one. It has shutters to keep even the tiniest bit of light out but mesh screens to stop the insects if you want to let the light in. The kitchen is on the first floor and due to the grounds being split, you can access the property both ways. It is extremely private with the most beautiful gardens which stretch out in all directions. The pool was kept clean and the view of a real scenic Italy is possible from inside it. We were within an hour of many great locations to drive to and were provided with some suggestions on arrival which we used. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need, as were the bathroom and outdoor areas. We brought the baby cam which worked on their free WIFI so were able to sit outside on the night time and relax. The owner lives on the other side of the property but never 'bothered' us, only came to make sure we were settled. We arrived much later than expected and felt awful but she welcomed us with open arms (quite literally) and gave the baby a hug. Nice touch. There is a local supermarket which is fairly big and several places to eat nearby. Would definitely recommend this property to anyone really, young, old, with kids however it is much more suited to anyone who likes to be private and wants to relax."

  • Schöne Wohnung in guter Lage

"Wir waren zwar nicht in der Villa sondern in der benachbarten Wohnung, diese ist aber für eine Gruppe von max 4 Personen sehr gut geeignet. Wunderbarer Blick auf Siena. Lage ist gut und ruhig, Fußweg ins Zentrum ca. 35 Minuten. Leider kein Freisitz direkt an der Wohnung, jedoch Nutzung des Gartens der Villa möglich. Sehr nette Gastgeber; gerne wieder."

  • A genuine Tuscan experience

"After a couple of weeks of visiting wonderful Italian cities we ended our vacation with 5 nights at Podere Cunina. It turns out we clearly saved the best for last! We wanted a quiet, less hectic time after Rome, Florence and Venice. We got that and so much more. A friend and I stayed in the Vitis apartment with a covered patio, twin bedroom, bath and laundry downstairs and a huge kitchen, dinning, living space upstairs. The views from our windows simple took my breath away every morning. And very little can match watching the sunset from the patio with a bottle of local wine and cheese. This is the true Tuscan experience I had always imagined. In addition, the family is so warm and welcoming it felt like we were staying with old friends. We had a car which allowed easy daily forays to nearby towns (Montepulciano, Montalcino, Piensa and Buonconvento). Directions, suggestions for places to visit, restaurants and wineries provided by the Freddi’s were excellent and really enhanced our stay. I only wished we had planned more time there. Next time I would add a cooking class, a wine tour or other outing with Marcello (who is soon to achieve the Master Sommelier level). Five nights was definitely not enough in this magical area!."
