  • Outstanding Stay In The Countryside

"We totally loved our stay at Casa Regina and can't wait to come back. Franco and Beziana were wonderful hosts. Their English is impeccable and they are appropriately proud of their little slice of countryside in Umbria. This is a great base for day trips and less than two hours from the Rome airport. We strongly encourage that you consider experiencing Casa Regina. You will not be disappointed!"

  • The EXCELLENT Reveiws Are All True

"We just returned from our weeklong visit in Orvieto. Everything positive you read in the reviews are true. Incredibly beautiful apartment and so perfectly stocked. Amazing location really close to everything. The town is big enough to be really interesting and yet easily walkable. We stayed an entire week and were never bored. The photos you see of the home are all accurate. The home really could not be more spectacular. It truly gives you a sense of being in Italy. The beds are comfortable. The home was clean. The coffee maker is amazing. Michele and her son Alex were amazing to work with. Really cannot find one thing negative to say. Everything worked out exactly the way a traveler would want it to unfold. Absolutely no problems from beginning to end. Lots of great restaurants are within a 5 minute walk. Small grocery store is very close and a much larger one (Meta) is about a 10 minute walk. If you don't see something, ask! Often things are behind the counter. The home has shopping bags and a rolling bag/cart for shopping. Great local market held on Thursday (and Sunday). Shopped for wonderful things and made an amazing meal in the gourmet kitchen. The kitchen is spectacular furnished as well as mine at home. Fish and butchers are nearby, but you may need to ask someone where they are. Many of the shops have their doors covered with a type of hanging rope (think 1970's beads going across the doorway), which makes seeing inside difficult. We went to the fishmonger and what an experience that was! He spoke no English and we spoke no Italian. Lots of pointing and gesturing and laughter! Most folks speak Italian and those that don't are still pretty easy to communicate with. Lots to do nearby if you want to rent a car. We drove the countryside, visited wineries and went to Assisi. Wanted to see the cathedral for St. Francis, but we could not get in as the Pope was visiting on that day! We had two couples in our party and there was something for each one of us to do. Great outdoor space to sit and read or have a glass of wine. Wines are excellent and really inexpensive (about 7-8 Euro per bottle). We had several bottles for 6 Euro and they were great as well! In summary, this place is AAA+. Beautiful. Clean. Perfectly located. Wonderful walking city. Great restaurants nearby. Wonderful history. Sweet people that are glad you are there. Easy to communication with locals. Great shopping. Spectacular cathedral. Amazing owners to work with. GO!"

  • wonderful apartment in the center of Orvieto

"My friend and I were thrilled with this apartment - spacious, immaculate, and outfitted with everything we need. The café downstairs was wonderful.....we started our day there with pastry and a cappuccino and within a day they were calling us by our first names. There is a lovely wine shop just down the street where we bought our Orvieto Classico. The apartment is exactly as pictured in the photos - no surprises. American guests will appreciate the American style coffeemaker! Mandy was so gracious in all of our communications and has a nice business arranging wine tasting and other tours, cooking lessons, and other things to do - her business is called unspoiltumbria. Roy, the property manager, was delightful - picked us up at Hertz when we arrived in Orvieto and took us to the train station the day we left. The apartment has a wonderful collection of CDs - great music to enhance the ambiance of this charming apartment. We recommend this rental and would return here in a heartbeat!"

  • A wonderful month in Orvieto

"My husband and I spent an idyllic month in this apartment in Orvieto. Susan, Mandy, and Victoria were friendly, helpful, and responsive. We loved the apartment itself - it looks even better than the photos if that is possible - and we thoroughly enjoyed our time in the town. I did a lot of cooking and found the kitchen to be well equipped - we especially enjoyed the cappuccino maker. The apartment was roomy and the furniture and bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed the four sets of french doors and spent a lot of time relaxing on the small deck out back. The location is excellent - everything is in walking distance (shops, bakery, the Duomo etc). We had a car for part of the month but we spent most of our time relaxing in Orvieto itself. We parked in the free lot at the base of the funicular and my husband would take the funicular down to pick up the car whenever we decided to go out of the city. There is paid parking close to the apartment but we didn't feel we needed the access. The wifi was excellent although there was one week when it was down due to a service provider problem (that's Italy for you - there was nothing the hosts could do to resolve it). There were stairs to reach the apartment which was fine by us but might be a problem for people with mobility issues. We stayed in Orvieto for the month of June and the apartment was comfortably cool until the last week when it got quite hot. Victoria gave us fans which were helpful, but please note there is no a/c so it may be quite warm inside during the summer months, even with the windows open. My husband and I would definitely love to come back and spend a month in the fall some year."
