"We were all blown away by the quality of the VIlla Rossa. It is huge with everything modern and brand new.It has it's own pool but also a one minute walk down the steps if you want to swim in the sea.The views from every level are truly out of this world. The views are better than the pictures show.Simply fab"

  • A very nice cottage with a great view

"First of all Montenegro is stunningly beautiful and this cottage has a great view of the Bay of Kotor. It has a marvellous terrace which we used all the time. It is very spacious cottage for 2 people and would suit a family of 4 easily. It is a fully equipped, you want for nothing and great air conditioning. It is very clean and has a good fridge, cooker and washing machine. The owner Sian provided us with full details of the cottage and the area, she cannot be faulted for her helpfulness. She also has an neighbour Ana who will help you during your stay but her English is limited. Staying here in Lepetane you will definitely need a car to get to all the marvellous beaches and towns in the area. There is nothing really in the village, one very small shop. You can drive to big supermarkets in nearby Tivat. It is also essential you get the card to park in the army barracks car park because there is absolutely no real parking anywhere else in the village. We did use taxis quite a lot it was sometimes difficult getting them from Lepetane but we always did eventually. The one down side to Lepetane is it is a ferry port with ferries crossing the bay all day and night, this takes a bit of getting use to and may not to be everyone satisfaction. You will also need to go other towns to eat as there are no restaurants in Lepetane. But the good news is there are nice restaurants nearby, our favourite was Hotel Carrumba. The fish and seafood in Montenegro is outstanding and the local wine is good. The most disappointing meals we had were in Kotor, beautiful city but a bit of a tourist trap. We highly recommend a visit to Peras a beautiful town which was part of the Venetian Empire which has great restaurants, views and swimming. A visit to Our Lady of the Rock is also recommended. Montenegro is still quite undiscovered but I am sure this will not last forever so now is the time to go and enjoy its delights!"

  • WOW!

"WOW! WOW! WOW! We were gobsmacked at the most gorgeous views from this beautiful apartment. After a disastrous start to our holiday (we missed our flight to Tivat by a few minutes :( we ended up flying to Dubrovnik the next day (FLY BRITISH AIRWAYS, great service!) and was met by our Taxi as arranged through this apartment's management and as we have never been to Croatia or Montenegro, he took us by the coastal road. He stopped at several places, just so we could take in the glorious views and he pointed out several places of interest. We looked upon this extra expense as a personal tour guide and he was so friendly and helpful, Thank you Branka. If you have the time, I would actually advise you to fly to Dubrovnik and fly out from Tivat. The walk up the steps in the heat nearly killed us (and I would like to say we are reasonably fit, ahem!!) ....after the steep hill before them, but we kept laughing all the way up knowing once we got into the apartment, we would be able to admire the magnificent views of Kotor Bay and all around and watch the incredible Cruise Liners going in and out of the bay. We got to watch the most spectacular thunder and lightening storms at night. The apartment is lovely with everything you need, except WIFI although to be honest, I didn't enquire about this. Just check your mobile info regarding your allowance abroad as Montenegro isn't covered in the European Vodafone Traveller. We didn't hire a car as the taxi's were so cheap, however, it can be hard to hail one down the road so its best to get one of their cards so you can call in advance. We walked into Kotor via the promenade by the sea, took us all afternoon as we kept stopping for coffee and admiring the views. You will discover lovely restaurants on the way. Two in particular we liked, (1) Babilon: friendly, reasonably priced and lovely food AND WIFI and (2) my favourite Furza Mare hotel. You get what you pay for: the MOST DELICIOUS FOOD, excellent service and stunning views AND WIFI. We ate there several times. There is also a spa there but unfortunately I was unable to get any treatments as they were booked. My friend and I certainly enjoyed our week there, we did a lot (boat trips, bus hopper and visiting places) but there is still so much to do and see. A week is not enough but it is a good reason to keep going back. All the arrangements with the owners and their management company were straight forward, any queries quickly answered. Thank you so much."

  • A great property in a fabulous location

"The apartment is really lovely, very nicely furnished and superb views across to Kotor and the bay. We used the pool and it was very nice with lots of sunbeds to lie on. I think a car is a "must have" as it is quite a drive up from the bay road below. Suggested improvements would be to ditch the old rusty BBQ which is really unusable and make more room on the balcony (or else update with a much smaller version), and give the outdoor furniture a lick of paint. Otherwise a great property in a fabulous location."
