  • La dolce vita in Sorrento

"My spouse and I , both over 60, wanted a peaceful sojourn in a beautiful place. That is exactly what we got at Villa Terrazza in Sorrento, where we stayed for two weeks. The villa's terrace overlooks the Napoli bay, and we spent time each day just looking at the sea, the harbour and the ferries departing and returning from Capri. Sorrento is a very nice city to explore, neither too big or too small, and the villa is at a walking distance from everything (train station, grocery store, restaurants, museums, shops, etc.). We visited Pompei, Herculanum and Napoli by train, and went to Capri on the villa owner's private boat, touring the island at at an leisurely pace. The apartment we rented faced the courtyard and was very quiet at night. Though small, it was very comfortable and furnished with taste. We found everything we needed in the kitchen in order to cook and eat on the premises, which we very often did. The owner, Andrea, and the manager, Valentina, tended promptly to our needs and went to great pains to make our stay most pleasant and memorable. In short, our experience couldn't have been better!"

  • A quiet respite in Florence

"We loved the location of Olivia apartment! It was just enough out of the congestion of the touristy area of the city to provide a pleasant break at night. We enjoyed exploring the Oltrarno quarter. We attended Mass in the basilica a short walk away and had the bonus to see a crucifix carved by Michelangelo at age 17. We also observed the art of carved block print at a small gallery on our street. The apartment was small, but four of us were quite comfortable for our stay. Our greeter provided a wealth of information that we used throughout our stay. I even learned how to make "Italian" coffee! My advice to those staying like a local. Pack light the stairs are challenging with heavy luggage, but that does not stop me from recommending this as a wonderful spot to stay in Florence. Perhaps our favorite discovery was a family run restaurant about a 20 minute walk from the apartment. It was called Trattoria Pandehohio. We would recommend it highly. Thank you for a lovely stay in your apartment."
