  • Amazing House in a Great Location

"Twelve 60ish adults rented this house for our biannual get together. The transaction was amazingly simple and the owner was a pleasure to deal with. The house can easily accommodate 14 and there was space for everyone and everyone could have a space if they wanted to get away. The kitchen was fabulous for the nights that we ate in and the dining options in the area were superb. We ate twice in Menerbes and other nights in the surrounding towns. There was no shortage of things to do for the week -- hiking, eating, drinking, and touring the countryside. You are close to absolutely picturesque places and can get into Avignon and Aix Provence easily. If traveling to the house, I would recommend through Paris and the high-speed rail to Avignon (renting a car at the station) -- actually easier than Nice or Marseilles -- unless you want to do those cities. We had wine every night beside the pool and in mid-September it was nice to have had it heated. Final comment is you cannot go wrong but do get good directions to the house -- while it is just a short walk into town, and we did it every morning for fresh bread, the first time arriving at the house we all searched."

  • Comfortable view apartment in the heart of Beaulieu

"We just spent 3 weeks in this apartment in Beaulieu sur mer, a charming town on the French Riviera. We found the flat to suit our needs perfectly. It has a well equipped kitchen, is close to the shops, market, restaurants , train station and beaches. The apartment is perfect for a couple. There is a sofa bed in the living room in case there is an extra guest . There is a lovely view of the mountains and the sea. We did not need a car. A word of caution, since you are in town and close to the train tracks there can be noise during the day. It did not bother us at all. Everything considered we thought this place offered good value . The owner was very pleasant to deal with."

  • Another fabulous holiday

"Just back from our 3rd wonderful holiday in this lovely house - more of a home than a holiday rental. It is tastefully furnished, extremely well equipped and with the summer kitchen close by the pool we were thoroughly spoilt. We really appreciated all the additional extras e.g. range of teas and coffees, toiletries in the bathroom, wine in the fridge etc. It was so nice not to have to spend the first day shopping for essentials like washing up liquid etc. The house is in the heart of Merindol, a delightful village with an interesting history, narrow streets and lovely architecture. There are several good restaurants, boulangeries and a grocery shop in the village. The pizzeria is particularly good value and the hosts are very welcoming. There are some fabulous walks on hand too, for example, up to the Luberon mountains or down to the river Durance. When you do need to go further afield, the nearby town of Mallemort has a two large supermarkets and a large street market on Fridays. And of course there is Avignon, such a beautiful city and well worth a visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the house and hope to return again for a 4th time."

  • Authentic Provence experience

"The house is very spacious with a great deck looking toward the Faucon village center with Mt Ventoux in the distance. The location is in a bustling agricultural area (vineyards) a short walk from the old village center. It is an authentic Provence experience where the day to day lives of the people who live and work there play out around you. If you want a place where the only sound is bird songs and wind in the trees this may not be for you. If the sounds of rural agricultural life, which includes the ubiquitous small tractors coming and going, is soothing rather than annoying, then this is the right place. The bakery in the village center, a 5 minute walk away, is itself a reason to stay in Faucon. It is renowned in the region and virtually at your doorstep. Ours was a biking holiday with nearly infinite choice of routes in every direction of the compass. This was a perfect place for launching out on daily rides but perhaps the best use of the house is for families and groups that can take advantage of all the beds, kitchen, swing set, washing machine, dishwasher, and living space."
