  • Great apartment

"This is a really lovely apartment with everything you could need during your stay provided. Plenty around the pool withs lots of sun loungers. It is in the perfect location so you are within easy walking distance of Meia Praia beach, the Marina, the supermarkets and the town. It easily sleeps 4 with the sofa bed in the living room being fantastic quality. Good welcome pack provided with all the essentials and Lynne who was looking after us was really lovely. Will definately return in future."

  • The Casa De Sonhos "The House of Dreams"

"The Villa is situated in a quite area just off the main road that leads into Luz Bay. It is very well equipped and is beautiful furnished, the grounds are well maintained and has a good size swimming pool, plenty of sun beds and a lovely outdoor eating area. The wrap around balcony also has an outside eating area and has beautiful views of the ocean and surrounding areas. To walk into Luz takes about 20 minutes, there you will find plenty of bars, restaurants and you will enjoy a walk along the esplanade. There are two supermarkets for those all important provisions. Although there are excellent taxi services that are only a call away I would recommend hiring a car to get you about the surrounding areas. Casa De Sonhos "The house of Dreams" lived up to its expectations and more!! If you are looking for a relaxing holiday to completely unwind then I would strongly recommend you book it!"

  • A lovely, spacious villa

"We booked Casa Vista Linda at the last minute for just the two of us. The directions from Rosemary to get us from the airport to the villa in our hire car were great. Although the hire car was useful and it meant we could go a bit further afield, I don't really think you 'absolutely need' a car to stay here. It's a 15 min walk to the marina (although the roads are quite bumpy and not lit at night) and there are plenty of cheap taxis to bring you back in the evening. There is a small shop about 10 mins walk away and a Pingo Doce supermarket a further 5/10 mins, where you could always get a taxi back up the hill with your shopping. The villa itself looks fabulous from the outside; in its own grounds with a huge pool and gardens. It had a lockable exterior gate and roll-down shutters on most of the windows, both for security and to keep the house cool during the day. The pool and patio areas are very large and not overlooked by neighbouring villas. The pool doesn't have heating but in early September it had all summer to warm up and was quite nice. There is plenty of outdoor seating and patio loungers. The view from the master bedroom balcony is stunning - looking out over Lagos and the rocks on the beach in the distance. The bed in the master suite was comfortable and there were lots of hangers provided in the wardrobes. The maids came twice during our stay of 9 nights, and although we got towel changes, the bedsheets were not changed but this wasn't a big deal. For those who like to cook at home, the kitchen was amply provided for in terms of crockery, glasses, pots and pans etc. The oven and built-in microwave looked new and we had no problem with the oven temp (perhaps it has been replaced since the last reviewer commented). The large TV in the living room could receive English (non-Sky) channels and the internet worked perfectly throughout our stay. Are there any downsides? Not really. If I were lucky enough to be buying this property for myself, I would probably update the bathrooms and the kitchen units (all functional but a wee bit dated), and have heating in the pool but would I recommend it as a holiday rental - yes, definitely!"

  • Absolutely stunning Villa!

"Villa Frigg is a beautiful villa with everything you need for a perfect holiday. There were nine of us staying and there was plenty of room for all of us. The bedrooms and most of the bathrooms are very spacious and beautifully decorated to a very high standard. Some of the bedrooms have their own balconies and patio areas. The pool and pool area is very lovely with stunning views and beautifully kept gardens which are obviously very well cared for. Fatima was extremely helpful and always on the other end of the phone if we needed her ( even on a Sunday) Plus her office is opposite the Villa so that was good to know. I would highly recommend Villa Frigg and would definitely like to go back in the future. Thank you very much Peter and Fatima, you were both extremely helpful :)"
