  • Fantastic property and location

"We stayed at three VRBO properties during our stay in Portugal in similar price range. This one was by far the best. Great location, close to trainstation and can walk to most of the touristy sites Large and clean, with more household stuff than you'd need Person that checked us in did a great job of explaining the area"

  • Just What We Were Looking For

"My wife, daughter and I stayed here for a week in early December. When we travel, we prefer to avoid the "tourist" areas and accommodations, and try to find places that feel more at home and part of the community. This beautiful, well-equipped apartment was perfect for our needs. It was within walking distance of the Castelo de S. Jorges and the neighborhoods of Alfama, Baixa, Bairro Alto, Rossio, Restauradores and Chiado, with easy access to public transit to Belem and other parts of the City. It sits in a cozy neighborhood with several great little restaurants and cafes, so we did not have to go far to find a good meal. The apartment itself includes 2 bedrooms with comfortable beds and plenty of natural light, and a couch that doubled as a bed for a friend of my daughter's who visited us from Spain for a couple of days. This place also has one of the best showers around (important to me, especially when traveling), along with a fully-equipped kitchen, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. Please note that this is a third-floor walk-up in a 300 year old building, and the stairs are narrow and steep. Not a problem for us, but they could be a challenge for someone not used to climbing. Finally, our hosts, Antonio and Fabiola, were absolutely terrific. Antonio picked us up and the airport, familiarized us with the City as we drove in, made sure we were settled and comfortable in the apartment, and provided great recommendations for restaurants and things to see and do in his City. If we had needed anything (we didn't, because the place is so thoughtfully equipped), he was only a text or phone call away. We felt very much at home in this wonderful apartment and it was a great "home base" from which to explore Lisbon."

"Appartement très agréable, moyens de transport à 2 pas et sur place un jardin à visiter et le soir illuminations du Monastère de Jéronimo pour nous seuls... un seul bémol, prévoir les courses ailleurs..."
