  • Lovely Lisbon apartment

"My husband and I stayed here for a month and had a lovely time. The landlords, Tim and Lubica, live on the first floor of the complex, and were very helpful and kind. The view from the apartment is beautiful, and the apartment itself was clean and comfortable. Bus and tram stops are nearby, and the location is just off Largo da Graça , a square with restaurants, grocery stores, pastry shops, etc. You can sit at the table in the apartment, drinking coffee and enjoying the view, or walk to the nearby miradouros (overlooks) of Graça and Senhora do Monte. It is easy to walk to Alfama, São Vincente and the Feira da Ladra, downtown, the Sé, and the castle, etc, since they are all downhill (except the castle), but we were usually lazy and took the bus or tram back up the hill. Ask Tim or Lubica re. tips for local restaurants and activities. They are knowledgeable and can tailor suggestions to your tastes. Highly recommend!"

  • Excellent location

"We stayed at this apartment for a week in September and would definitely recommend it. It is very central and we combined the city attractions and beach.... which could be reached very easily by train. Something to bear in mind is that the main Cais do Sodre train Station gets very busy and you could quite easily queue for a ticket for over 40 minutes. However we walked from the apartment to the next station (about 10 minutes) and enjoyed no queues! The apartment was very spacious and you immediately felt at home with its quirky charm and friendly neighbourhood. The owner wasn’t there when we arrived but she had already arranged for us to pick up the key from the Café/small shop 2 doors away. David and his parents were extremely helpful and friendly… and made us feel so welcome. We look forward to returning to Lisbon again and would definitely look to return to this apartment."

  • Wonderful stay in Alfama

"Our family of three had a wonderful week in Alfama 5. The apartment has plenty of sunlight so no need for alarm clock! Ideal location, close to cafes, restaurants and shops. Pingo Supermarket is a short stroll away, so we took advantage of the well stocked kitchen, full of spices and condiments. We really felt like being at home. Above all, Mario is a wonderful manager; always available to help. Thank you Mario for making our stay so enjoyable. Julio, Jeanette and Maya"

  • Cozy apartment in good location

"Nuno, the owner, is a very considerate gentleman. When he learned that we were already in Lisbon, he offered to pick us up and brought us to his rental unit. There were fresh cut lilies on the table and a bowl of fruit. The apartment is very well stocked with everything you need including dish detergent, laundry detergent (there is a washing machine), toilet paper, etc. This is not true of all rental units. At 54 sq.m. the apartment is not large but I thought it was very cozy and certainly perfectly adequate for two people. We stayed here for a week. Actually the bedroom is a good size, with plenty of closet space, and room for our 3 pieces of luggage. The bed is comfortable. I found the rest of the furniture comfortable too. The flat screen TV was easy to watch from anywhere in the open concept living room/kitchen. English channels included CNN, BBC, and National Geographic Wild. The internet was reliable and fast. The shower stall in the bathroom is rather high tech and as mentioned by a previous reviewer, it is small compared to most and may not please very large people. It was fine for us. The location is handy for visiting several of Lisbon's sights. The Gulbenkian Museum, Parque Eduardo Vll and the large and modern El Corte Ingles shopping mall with 14 cinemas, are all a few minutes walk away. The mall has an excellent grocery store too. The Sao Sebastiao metro stop is 20 m from the apartment building. This is the end of the Red Line from the Airport. So getting to or from the Airport couldn't be handier. You can also take the Red Line to the Oriente metro stop, the closest metro stop to the oceanarium (Oceanario de Lisboa), another attraction worth visiting. Yet another stellar attraction, the Museu Nacional do Azulejo, can be conveniently reached by taking bus 742 from a nearby bus stop. Would I recommend this property to friends or relatives? Definitely. Would I stay there again? Yes, I would."
