Beautiful Oasis!

We had a fantastic stay! The apartment was very cozy with stunning views over the harbor. After long days exploring the island, we always looked forward to coming back to our oasis and relaxing on the terrace! The grounds are beautiful and well cared for. Very easy parking if you rent a car. The walk into old town is only 20 minutes (all downhill). Very easy to catch a bus or Bolt if you don't want to walk back up the hill! The host, Helena, was excellent and made us feel very welcome and at home throughout our stay. If you want an authentic, intimate experience and prime location, then this is the place!

Little slice of paradise

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent 2 week stay at Casa da Manga. This beautiful property was everything described and more. The views of the surrounding hills were spectacular in this quiet neighborhood. Our host, Manuel left us a gift of local favorites and eggs for breakfast. He greeted us by phone to make sure everything was in order. We enjoyed swimming in the crystal clear pool. We couldn’t be happier with our stay.

The most beautiful view we have ever had in a VRBO property! It would be hard to find another place in Madeira that could top this Villa. Clean, modern, great beds, and a wonderful pool, + the sunset. Alfredo + Celia were great hosts! After a day of touring the island we couldn’t wait to get back and relax at this wonderful residence!

The property was beautiful and the view off the balcony was amazing! The location was perfect being across from the Forum and having a phenomenal amount of excellent restaurants to walk to and choose from. This location also allowed for a wonderful 35 min walk to downtown. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and I will stay 2 weeks next time; a week wasn't long enough!

We really enjoyed our stay

Firstly, Rosa is a great host, very helpful and polite. We didnt have any trouble at all, she even provided us with a free airport transfer. Its the first time I see a host do that, so we appreciate it very much. Secondly, the apartment itself is really nice, clean and cozy, it has everything you need. The beds are big and comfortable, the terrace was a great bonus. The location is perfect, close to the sea cost and the city center. The dogs in the neighborhood are pretty annoying, but bringing good earplugs should solve the problem. I can totally recommend a stay here.

Really nice relaxed getaway

Great appartment. The very friendly and helpfull owners live upstairs. The property itself is nice, spacious and clean. Some furniture is getting a little older/less modern but still fine. The real star of this house is the amazing garden, with beautiful relaxing terrace and the (private) pool. The garden is full of nice fruits of which the owners are happy to let you try! We have had a very nice and relaxing week in the house. Corona add on: In spite of the 'COVID-virus' that is al around Europe, we have had a relaxed holiday. The measures of the island are fine and in general we encountered no problems regarding the social distancing or other sensible measures. The Islanders seem to be well aware of the situation and so are the (few) tourists that were still there. Restaurants are usually open and handling the situation with care. Besides: everyone that is coming to the Island gets a (free) PCR-test at the airport. So the chances of new outbreaks seem minimized. Thank you Elke & Anton for the great week!

The Place to Stay!!!

The host is amazing, a great communicator and she also provided us with a fantastic welcome package of food and drink!! The location of this beautiful, roomy, homey flat cannot be beat. We were able to walk to so many places. Bus transportation was also right there near the apt.. Will stay there again for any future trips if it is available. Only able to rate up to five stars but if able I would rate our stay a 10+.
