  • Fabulous location - not quite luxury

"A weekend break. Positives: Location Negatives: property looking a little tired and there was no wifi code. This was dealt with promptly by the owner but a welcome pack would be useful. No lightbulbs in any of the lamps?"

  • The pictures certainly do not do this wonderful home justice.

"Communication with Fiona was easy, she answers all of my questions promptly and asked me questions so that she could make our stay even more special. The small touches like the fires being lit for our arrival, and the champagne and chocolates were just lovely. The house was much bigger than it looks on the pictures. There was plenty of space for all 8 of us and the fact that our dog could come to enjoy the weekend with us was great too. I wI'll definitely come back to stay again soon. It is located just 5 mins from the town centre and the beach front, we even braved a dip in the sea (up to our ankles)! The whole weekend just ensured we all had fun for my birthday. Thanks again!"

  • Perfect

"The photos do not do justice to this uber-modern, quirky, spacious pad. The living room views of the river and out to sea are perfectly captured in the big double windows, with the added advantage of a balcony. And ensuite bedroom also has a balcony. We loved that it was a duplex which meant the upstairs bedrooms were always a quiet retreat. The addition of a tv with everything you'd ever need added a touch of high-end hotel luxury. The central location gave great access to the wee streets and historic buildings of Ayr town, with great restaurants and shops, whilst at the same time being very quiet. We will be back. Thanks Andrew."
