  • Great location of house

"Gallanach cottage is situated just meters from the sea, and is great for anyone planning to bring a kayak or boat. The area around the house gives plenty of opportunities for outdoor life. Other than the outdoors, there is not a lot of attractions nearby, which our teenagers found a little boring. For younger kids just being outside playing was great. Some outdoor toys in the house would have been great. The house itself is a good size and decent standard, although the kitchen utensils could do with renewal (or an available knife sharpener). The next door neighbour is very friendly, and helped us find excellent local mussels which we made a delicious supper out of."

  • Perfect Retreat for a Restful Break

"We booked the Four Winds for a long weekend break and it more than met our expectations. The area is ideal for walking or cycling with views to die for wherever you look. And where better than th properties upstairs lounge with its uninterrupted views of the Kyles of Bute. There were only 2 of us but the property could comfortably cater for 8 with a large kitchen with ample seating and everything you need if you wish to self cater. We will likely be back later this year Hugh and Mary Murray."

  • Excellent, could not have been better.

"Abigail has thought of everything regarding the lodge.Everything you will need is there. We were only there for 2 nights but we wish it could have been longer.Their only smell complaint we had was that when we arrived the lodge was absolutely freezing, hence we had to put all the heating on.Having said that, once it was heated it was lovely and cosy.Even our 2 gorgeous King Charles Cavalier pups enjoyed it.Thank you Abigail,we will be back,if you will have us. • Charming cottage in a wonderful place

"Tighnabruich is a lovely village with beautiful scenery and very friendly people. 'The knowe' is a charming cottage with all the home comforts required for a great holiday. We thoroughly enjoyed our week there. There are a couple of places to eat in the village, our favourite was Botanica, the mussels as you might expect from this area were exceptional. We enjoyed a day out on Bute and also enjoyed taking a walk around the local area. One of our favourite walks was out to Kilbride Bay, a beautiful beach. Could not fault our stay and we hope to go back."
