  • Fantastic Christmas

"We cannot put into words how fantastic this gem of a house is! We spent Christmas and new year here and what lovely time we had too! This cottage had literally everything you need for a comfortable stay, just like home from the moment we walked in. If you want peace and tranquility this is the place to come. Fantastic wildlife too, red deer, seals, mountain hares, golden eagles the list goes on, a photographers paradise. Collette couldn't have been any more helpful throughout. We would return here in a heartbeat so thanks again!"

  • Lovely cottage in great location

"Authentic and beautifully renovated cottage (even better than the photo's on the site suggest), clean and very well-equipped. The garden is spacious, with a lovely stream, and the best views of Attadale estate and Loch Carron. The estate itself is wonderful, especially for those who love hiking and/or fishing. Very friendly owners and Mrs. Watson at the launderette! The gardens are extensive and lovingly designed and maintained; plenty to discover. The same goes for the very scenic area; there is a lot to see and do. We would warmly recommend this property to anyone!"

  • A perfect spot to tour Skye and Applecross

"We searched for a self catering place in the isle of Skye and are happy to say that we have found a superb house! The location: the house is quiet yet - a short walk away and we have found ourselves at the entrance to the Eilean Donan castle. Dornie is well placed as a starting point for any Skye trip but also for the Applecross peninsula. We have found it a much better location than at some place on the island, where one has to drive quite a lot to reach other locations The pub: right next to the house is the Slachan pub : a charming small local pub with great atmosphere and nice visitors. We highly recommend it! The house: the place is roomy - a family of 5 easily fit inside. Everything was in order and felt clean and new. When we cooked - it was as if we are the first to use the kitchen. The bathroom is modern and new - I have to say that it was beyond our expectations - the pictures do not do right to the place. It is much better than the images on the vrbo site. Beyond kitchen and bath - we had fun playing with the board games and watching TV. A very pleasant stay! The hosts: Bernadette and Douglas did all they could to make our stay a pleasure - we have not met them but they have even sent Doug's brother to bring us a present! Overall - a perfect base to travel in the area!"
