  • THREE WOMEN WHO LOVE SCOTLAND AND DOGS

"My wife and sister and I stayed 7 nights at Pilrig House in June of 2016. We loved our stay in this lovely, quiet park setting. As dogs lovers, we very much enjoyed visiting with the dogs and owners in the morning after coffee and breakfast. We also took the train to North Berwick and that was a most pleasant train ride and the town is charming. We also had Mike take us on our tour of areas of the midlands and highlands and he took us over "military roads" that tour buses cannot navigate. This was an outstanding day trip as we drove over the narrow roads with tiny lambs tumbling around. We took in the "Queen's View" and that was spectacular. Pilrig House is in a class higher than 5 stars and I look forward to my next visit to Edinburgh and a stay in this perfect home away from home."

  • Feels special the minute you drive in

"The apartment is finished to a remarkable standard. So much space. The main drawing room is huge, kitchen doesn't just have everything, it has every little thing you could want, to the last detail in such quality and taste. Bedrooms are lovely, main bedroom is stunning when you open the curtains to look out over the gardens and the hills in the background. Bathrooms are beautiful, with nice touches and above all, everything was immaculate. I could go on for a while, but as we were leaving my wife said: Its like Gleneagles, but so much nicer. Thanks for a great stay"

  • Fantastic Location! Very comfortable!

"We decided to stay here because of the location and we were certainly not disappointed. There were 4 coffee shops within 100 years. The location is within walking distance to everything on the Royal Mile. Nice open space inside. the beds were extremely comfortable! Pros: Location, great for the family, and the beds were wonderful! Cons: Shower pressure. No elevator so had to take the stairs (this was not a con for us even with a stroller but needs to be mentioned for anyone that may not be able to walk two flights of stairs). The fireplace was not functioning. Thank you for a great stay! We would certainly come back!"
