  • Great cottage, beautiful place.

"A wonderful cottage on a peaceful spot. It is great to walk on the estate and enjoy nature and see some deer. We were invited to drive the sheep one day with the owner and his dogs. There are many hiking possibilities in the nearby woods or along the coast. The Horse Shoe Inn is a fine pub and Oban a nice place to visit."

  • Beautiful

"Great rural location with panoramic views, Oban town centre less than ten minutes drive away, there's a bar and restaraunt in walking distance. The owners were very flexible and helped us out greatly. Great value for money too, we didn't want to leave and can't wait to go back! I'd recommend this to any one who loves the out doors, peace and beautiful countryside."

  • Pleasant house with stunning views

"The property is in the village of Dalavich which is very much off the beaten track, right on the shores of Loch Awe. It's very secluded which suited me as I was looking for peace and quiet and great views. The property is lovely and clean, and the rooms are spacious, with a well appointed kitchen (range cooker, washing machine, microwave, toaster and kettle - all you need!). My favourite room was however the sunroom, which is huge and airy and looks right out onto the loch. There are a couple of things that would've been nice to see - for example a mirror in the twin room and a lamp in the living room so that the big light isn't on all the time - but these are minor things and the property is great value for money! Lisa also stayed in regular contact and was very helpful with directions etc Dalavich itself is not a typical tourist type village, but the people are all very friendly, especially Libby who owns the local cafe/bar/shop/post office. A great wee place to sit in the afternoon and have a chat. I'll definitely be returning."
