"The property is as described on this web site. The apartment is in a very nice neighbourhood., a short walk to the local shops pubs and restaurants. , and to the Braid Hills ,there is also a very good bus service, which also goes to the town centre. We found everything very clean and in very good condition. and the whole house had a very relaxing atmosphere. .The owner was very helpful before and during our stay. We were a group of five, and had plenty of room for luggage, clothes etc.,a very well equipped kitchen, plenty of hot water and towels. I would recommend here to anyone, we were a group of very grown up people, and it was really wonderful to be there. ."

  • Peaceful, cozy, blissful. A superb experience!

"My husband and I, with our dog, required de-stress time! This was completely achieved at Gairnshiel Cottage. The accommodation had everything you would need and more - roaring log fire each evening, a kitchen with all appliances/paraphynalia which we could not fault, private back garden where we could safely let our dog roam into, comfy king size bed, wonderful views, Wi Fi. Grocer and butcher not too far away. Local area great for walks and whilst we did not roam too far, we could have done so, if wished, as plenty to do and see in the area. This may be unbelievable to some of you - the weather was cold but dry the whole week! I know, we couldn't believe our luck either! All booking arrangements were managed swiftly with e-mails from Lynda herself. We would have no hesitation in returning to this cottage and we can recommend it to others. Many thanks to Lynda and family for delivering exactly what it says on the tin! Jo and Dinant Lincolnshire"

  • Beautiful property with amazing scenery. We had a tour of the deer farm which was fun.

"We were a group of 6 friends from different parts of the U.K. just looking to get away and catch up over a weekend.Spotless clean , very comfy beds and the cottage looked even better than the photos.Henrietta the owner provided plenty of logs for the fire and all little essentials were there like a few dishwasher tablets etc. John kindly took us on a tour of the deer farm which was very enjoyable. The scenery was amazing with a view of the reservoir. Thoroughly enjoyed our time away and would highly recommend it. Very relaxing stay."

  • Pleasant and convenient

"Well described - we knew it was small but it was ok for 2 for a week. Clean and pretty well equipped . Owner was very welcoming and responded to our suggestion for an extra mirror right away! Very handy for getting to Edinburgh by park and ride - which is cheap! Also good access south to places we wanted to visit"
