  • Perfect Holiday Cottage

"This was our second stay at West Lodge and we were delighted to be able to return. Since our last visit, a large conservatory has been added with a wood burning stove to keep us warm in the evenings. Our two grand daughters loved playing in the huge gardens and going to visit the horses in the next field. The kitchen has every amenity which you could hope for and the house in general is well equipped. We hope that this will not be our last visit here."

  • Great cottage - everything we needed

"Well equipped & spacious, homely cottage. Plenty of games for the kids - who all loved the cabin bed! Superb kitchen. We had a great holiday & would definitely book again. Highly recommended. The Dunn Family, Warrington, Cheshire."

  • Beautiful bright and great location

"The apartment is a delightful place to stay, very close to Glasgow Green. It's bright and spacious, extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. It felt like a home from home - cosy and really welcoming. Both bedrooms are quiet and calm and there are two spacious bathrooms. The kitchen is very well equipped and a real pleasure to cook in. The flat is in a very well maintained building and it's a short walk from Glasgow Green (which the flat overlooks). It's a great base from which to explore the city centre, or take a stroll along the River Clyde. Roselene Borland is a fantastic host who has created a very special place to stay. I will be recommending to friends and family and I look forward to returning!"

  • Very quiet and comfortable for a good price

"My wife and I stayed here with two friends in January, and had a wonderful time. It is a very quiet location overlooking the ocean at a distance, and is a convenient location for exploring the Isle of Skye. I loved sitting at the table and watching the sunrise as sheep walked along the road outside. And the view of the ocean was beautiful. We stayed for 3 days, and the WiFi didn't work at all though I tried numerous troubleshooting steps. I contacted the housekeeper who relayed my message to the owners. They responded very quickly and were very helpful, but we never got the Wifi working during our stay. It was a little problematic because there is no phone signal near the cottage. However there is a small rec center down the road that has Wifi which we occasionally used. Also, the cottage uses electric heat that is barely sufficient in the downstairs of the house. However the bedrooms and den stay very warm if you keep the doors closed. The fireplace would have been useful, but there were no convenient places to buy wood. A bonus is that Glendale is a dark sky region of Scotland, so the night sky was incredible! I could see the Milky Way with the naked eye, and I even caught a glimpse of the northern lights on camera. Overall it was a great time. I certainly plan to stay here again in the future."
