  • Lovely stay

"We had lovely 5 night stay in this cosey cottage. We really enjoyed the views all around and loved exploring it. We had a wonderful welcome pack and a small Christmas tree with a small gift placed underneath it for everyone who stayed which was a lovely thought and really topped it off. The fire was amazing and warmedo the cottage up quickly. We would love to stay again."

  • Excellent Apartment

"Very comfortable and clean apartment with excellent facilities. Supermarket, the town, ferry terminal and railway station within a short distance so very convenient if you travel up by train as we did. View over the sea from the front so climbing the stairs to the second floor was well worth it. The local people are very friendly. I would certainly recommend this apartment."

  • Lovely property. Amazing hosts

"We arrived here Friday night. What a lovely welcome Dorothy and Tony gave us. Made us feel very welcome and also made us feel that we could treat the cottage as our home for the duration of the stay. The cottage itself is clean and the beds are really comfy. The living room has loads of seating. (One thing to note there is no DVD player). The boot room / utility at the end of the house is great when you're coming in with mucky kids and a mucky dog. The woods are a lovely surprise and the walk through them is lovely. We didn't have the greatest weather but it didn't stop us enjoying them. On the last night we thought we'd roast marshmallows outside. A quick note to Tony and Dorothy as voila. Wood. Matches and fire lighters ready in a jiffy. Kelso swimming baths is handy for the really bad days and they have inflatable sessions that the kids really enjoyed. Holy island worth a trip as well. (Tide times in the cottage) Overall. I cant recommend this place enough."

  • The only place to stay in St. Andrews

"From the time we were picked up, in the beautiful Mercedes shuttle bus, to the time we were delivered back to the train station the service and hospitality was nothing short of impeccable. The Hawkswood House was ideal for the 3 golfers and warm and cozy for the ladies; this home was more than suitable regardless of the occasion for the visit. Furthermore, all the rules and costs were clear and concise and there was no "nickel and diming" or other hidden fees. There's nothing but praise for the Hawkswood House and the staff and truthfully no other place you should stay. Thank you for a great time and great experience."
