  • A Gem Outside of Ronda

"It's worth driving a little out of the way to find this peaceful and spacious cottage. The home is clean, with comfy bed and a nice shower, perfect for abundant bird watching or reading on the patio by the pool.. Stay out for dusk to enjoy the bats! The owners live next door and were very gracious and hospitable, available if needed but not intrusive. Plus, we were intending to spend our time in Ronda but the town where this home is located, Arriate, was a gem discovery so we split our time between both. We lucked out and stumbled upon the annual Fiesta en el Aire---truly fabulous!!"

  • Peaceful, welcoming, well equiped and beautiful wooden house

"We stayed in the house in the last week in May and were very lucky with the beautiful weather. The house is a peaceful, well equiped wooden house in a stunning landscape. The deck outside is wonderful for eating on, for reading and for watching the locals as they go about their work in the fields. We spent nearly the whole week in the house only going out twice for shopping - the place was so relaxing. We particularly loved the garden, the deck, the reading room and the plunge pool. The views from the house are of the sea, the local valley and the high mountains and are stunning. Lena was a welcoming and generous host who brought us to the house and provided basic food as we arrived on a Sunday with no shops open. She filled us in on the history of the house, what to do in the area and made us feel we had really arrived after only 10 minutes chatting. This was a lovely house and we came away relaxed after just a week."

  • Beautiful apartment in the perfect location

"This was a beautiful apartment. It was large, airy and immaculately cleaned. There were some lovely homely touches around the property and it contained absolutely everything needed for a stay - the photographs do not do it justice. The owners were very friendly and attentive to our needs and kept us informed in advance of our stay. Would highly recommend this apartment and I intend to return at the next opportunity."
