  • Superb

"This is the second year we have stayed at this beautiful Villa and despite the fact we like to travel and visit different places every year we are already planning next years stay. The Villa itself is lovely and really home from home everything you could ask for. Very well equipped even down to binoculars to look at the magnificent scenery. It is incredibly peaceful and secluded we literally didn't see a soul through our entire stay. After relaxing in the Sun all day by the pool coming back to the villa taking a shower preparing dinner then sitting on the patio watching the sun set over the mountains with a glass of wine ...heaven .just couldn't get fed up with doing this every night. The sunset scenery absolutely breathtaking. I have never felt so relaxed on a holiday ...looking at the scenery you can see for miles and total silence it's wonderful. When everything goes dark and the tiny gecko appears on the wall... that's not all there is to see....step out from the coverd area and look up and the most incredible sight of all thousands of stars quite incredible ....didn't really want to write such a glowing rating as want to keep this secret hideaway all to ourselves but it is stunning ... There are lots of places to visit we have been twice now and still have many places on our to do list. Locally Alora is a lovely little town only 20 minute drive ...never any traffic.Superb little supermarket selling everything you would need prob first time I've actually enjoyed visiting a supermarket. As previous posters have said if hiring a car something a bit 4x4 like better option than a mini metro ...although it is also half the fun driving up to the villa on the long dirt track.(more fun I guess with a mini metro) but totally safe . Would thoroughly recommend this villa so quiet tranquil peaceful only disruption is the occasional motorbike car or Lorry way in the distance or the clanging of the goats bells when being hurded across a distant hillside. Photographs do not do it justice Thoroughly recommend 5 star"

  • Excellent apartment

"Stayed for 2 weeks in this amazing apartment, had everything we needed, the owners have thought of everything including a shopping trolley. I can honestly say it's one of the best holidays we have had, my 2 boys aged 12 and 14 had a blast!. We have met some wonderful new friends and the people around the pool are so friendly and helpful. It's situated in a lovely area, 5 mins to shops and restaurants in arorryo , and supermarket close by. Arorryo is lovely and very Spanish, lots of restaurants to choose from. We enjoyed the Indian round the corner from the apartment, and it's the best ever. We also enjoyed the pizzeria Mediterranean who do the best lasagne . And raffles bar for the best salad. You can walk to the beach, and walk to benaladina promenade which leads to the marina which is gorgeous, with lots of bars and restaurants along the way. There are activities at the beach, segways by the marina and trampolines. We enjoyed the panorama bar along the promenade. We also enjoyed the catamaran boat trip too at the Marina. There is lots for kids and teens to do. The pool was lovely and warm, and very clean. The apartment was very safe and secure as was the pool area. We had wifi , and English TV. Hairdryer and straighteners, iPod docking station. It's a quiet complex, and very relaxing. The owners were very helpful. We caught the train from the airport , then it's just a short 5 minute walk to the apartment. Overall it was amazing, and would definitely book again in the future. thanks Scott and Stacey."

  • Great views, stunning dining terrace

"Lovely stay at the villa, amazing pool and best wifi ever had in Spain (important for teenagers and work!) I think it is important to understand that this is a 2 bedroom house with a 2 bedroom flat underneath - there is no internal staircase. Although for our family this was OK as we had older teenage children, it certainly wouldn't work for very small children, and there are a lot of steep steps both up to the front door and from top of house to pool. Again not a problem for us, but definitely a challenge for frail elderly or tiny tots. The manager Christina was superb; she lives in the villa opposite but not intrusive. Reassuring if you want to ask her advice or need help. She also offers to make you a fabulous paella which is delivered to your door with wine and bread, and which you can eat on the top dining terrace with a spectacular view. A great experience (€160 cost) We walked to the beach which is lovely and clean (takes about 15 minutes) and there you can find many restaurants and shops selling absolutely everything. There is a good supermarket on the seafront. But be warned the walk home is all up hill and quite a struggle in the heat; just need to pace yourselves and take your time. Good alternative is to take a taxi home sometimes. Local bus stop is also within 10min walk to main road. This will take you into fuengirola town and market day (Tuesday) is a must. We hired a car and the manager provided us with a garage (€50) for the week but you don't need a car really. Just be aware that in total there maybe about another €500 extra costs on top of the weekly rental - cash needed. This was explained at booking so wasn't a surprise but in my opinion this was a bit excessive (€180 for cleaning, €25 admin fee, €30 key fee for manager to wait for your arrival, €25-35 welcome pack food at our request which was very helpful, €180 paella evening optional, €50 garage rental optional if car) We had a lovely week at the villa so no complaints but description of room layout on the webpage could be improved to avoid unhappy clients on arrival. Also a tiny request for proper curtains at the windows as they are so thin they let light through in early morning; no good for a proper lie-in! All in all a nice villa in a great position near the sea and great views."
