  • Very nice place to stay ,very nice owners ,but not my cup of tea.

"Will start from the beginning .Owner really nice and helpful. The grounds around apartments are lovely, kids play area ,lots of flowers all looks very nice and clean. Our little boy loved it. Be prepared this place bit far from everything .And it's really hard to find this place. After airport it's tooks us abut 2 hours to find this place .But if you know where are you going it's only 25 minutes from airport. On the beginning we don't understand about apartments and we was right. When we arrived we saw two flors building.First flor kitchen only.Second flor bed room with shower and toilet. And if you want to go to the bedroom you need to go outside of the house take the stars .We found What personally for us it's was a problem. We visit this place in January with 2 years old boy and pregnant wife.At night and in the morning it's was to cold to go outside take stars only if you want a cup of tea.And in the kitchen in the morning was so freezing my little one must to seat for half an hour in the coat .We had only one electric hitter ,so at nigh we used it in the bedroom in the morning in the kitchen. But I'm sure in the summer time it's not a problem at all. At the apartments you can find anything you need.Lots of staff for little ones .They two washing mashins. In the kitchen you have fridge with freezer and microwave. And electric cooker ,no owen. But if you need anything just ask the owners they really nice people and trying very hard. About out holiday .We had great time on tenerife .Nice food, weathe ,people. But be careful in public places. Our wallet was stolen at El Medano Saturday market with all the money, driving licence and banking cards. So be careful. But I'm sure it's not happens very often. Thank you very much for our holiday."

  • Wonderfully renovated house for a small family (but does not have separate bedrooms)

"The house looks very much like the pictures and is a carefully and lovingly renovated old country house. A lot of the restoration work (e.g. the tiling) is almost artwork and some of the furniture is handmade and very charming. The owner Botho (who lives on the property) is rightfully proud of his renovation and is very friendly and helpful with restaurant and tour suggestions. We had 5 nice days in the house even though it was not exactly how we imagined it. Some of this is probably our own fault (maybe we did not read the details carefully enough), but I do want to point out clearly to other potential renters exactly how the house is laid out: You can enter the main room or the kitchen from the courtyard. The main room and the kitchen are connected by a door, and from the main room you access the bathroom and the stair to the first floor. The main room also contains two of the three beds in the house and some slightly impractical furniture. In other words, the central room downstairs is both a (double) bedroom, a lounge, and a hall. Upstairs, there is a wonderful high-ceiling room with a large double bed and a sitting area. The point is that there are no doors except to the kitchen and bathroom, so all three beds are in the same connected area (although on two floors). There is thus very little privacy, also because everybody has to pass through the central downstairs room when using the bathroom. The rental is classified as a 3-bedroom house on the web page, which is misleading, and when you read the details carefully, you will see that one of the bedrooms is in a separate annex (rented separately). Still, it’s a stretch to even call it a 2-bedroom house because of the lack of separate bedrooms. For a small family, this may work fine, but if you want privacy at times (which our teenage children do), this is not the optimal rental. Note that the only heating is a wood-fired oven in the kitchen (with a fan to distribute the heat), and that use is charged 10 EUR/day extra. During our visit in mid-February, it was a little cold and damp, especially at night, but we did not bother to fire up the oven over night. Also note that the kitchen has no oven."
