  • Comfortable and spacious apartment, and wow, what views!

"We stayed for 6 nights in December, and our family of four was very happy in this lovely apartment. It's a great location from which to explore Madrid, since there is a Metro stop literally steps away from the front door! The Royal Palace and a fantastic park are both only about 3 blocks away, too. Mireia and Diana are charming and the perfect hostesses; they showed us the apartment's features and recommended places in Madrid. The apartment is well-appointed and the beds are all quite comfortable. There is a bit of street noise at all times, even the middle of the night, because it's located on a busy intersection. If that bothers you, bring earplugs or a white noise app. We would stay here again and would recommend it to friends or family traveling to Madrid without hesitation. Several super mercados are nearby so that you can stock the kitchen. We went to Dia (3 blocks away) several times. We also enjoyed several great restaurants within a mile or so from the apartment: Da Nicola (Italian - addictive garlic- and rosemary-infused olive oil for the bread!); Loving Hut (vegan); El Horno Azul (quick take-away pizza); 100 Montatidos (a casual chain with tiny sandwiches); and Restaurante Sky (Spanish/Venezuelan/European). The tapas at the Mercado del San Miguel were also a big treat. There’s a Starbucks located in the building on the street level, but hey, if you are in Madrid, why not get your coffee at a local place such as the nearby Café & Té across Calle Gran Via?"
