  • Stunning sunsets, stunning villa!

"We visited the beautiful Villa Palmiye from 21-28 October 2016 and were wowed the minute we arrived. It was a very straightforward journey, almost a straight road from the airport to the villa with very clear instructions from Graham and Jude of how to find the villa in Kisla. I think being in Kisla around the far side of the bay from Kalkan was better than being in the town itself. We had the most amazing sunsets every evening from our beautiful terrace and a fantastic view of Kalkan after dark with twinkling lights everywhere. There is also a free boat ferry from the beach club a short walk away, across the bay into town if you don't fancy walking or don't have a car. It would only be a 15 minute walk anyway. The villa is massive, beautiful inside and out. Especially the BBQ area with pergola and the pool area. The games room with pool table and table tennis outside gave our teenage children hours of fun and entertainment. It would be a great villa for 2 families as the annex is on its own level. Everyone can easily find their own space here. There are so many different seating areas outside and all have amazing views. This villa really does have it all, and is very private. Wifi worked perfectly, which all appreciated for sending pics to family. Kalkan is a beautiful little town with numerous beach clubs. We tried the Mahal beach club just a five minute walk from the villa, it is very pretty with numerous terraces and platforms over the sea. With a good restaurant and swinging hammocks, you really feel pampered and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Our teenagers even borrowed the lifeguards kayak to paddle around the bay. We visited Kaş to the east, well worth a visit and we did the paragliding there which was excellent, we saw sea turtles as we came in to land on the harbour side. Patara is a strange town, a bit quirky, but the beach is wonderful with soft sand, surrounded by mountains, no hotels in sight, voted one of the top 10 beaches in the world and is protected because of the turtles that lay their eggs here. Also saw lots of crabs. The sea is gently shelving so also good for young children. The restaurant on patara beach serves good food and even though the toilets look like an old shack, are modern and extremely clean. Can't say enough good things about this place other than try it for yourself. You won't be disappointed."
