  • Perfect location, comfortable space

"Three friends and I spent 4 nights at Patrizia's property and absolutely loved it. The apartment could not be in a better location. We were within a 5 minute walk of Piazza Navona and Campo di Fiori, a 15 minute walk of the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon, and about a 20 minute stroll to the Colosseum/Forum, the Vatican, and the Spanish steps. Basically we could cover the entire city on foot. This isn't even mentioning that the street the apartment is located on is full of restaurants and shops. Be sure to stop across the street (just steps away) at Mimi e Coco for food or just for a drink and down the road at the Frigidarium, an amazing gelato place that always has a line but is worth the wait (also the cheapest gelato we had the entire trip). The apartment itself is lovely, just as pictured. It is located on the ground floor (after lugging our bags up 6 floors in Florence, we were very happy about this). On the main floor is a small living room with a table and 4 chairs as well as a small, but functional, kitchen. Upstairs is a nice big bathroom and two bedrooms (1 queen and 2 single beds). There are also 3 couches: one in the living room, one upstairs on the landing, and another in the master bedroom. The master bedroom has windows facing the main street but they have double sets of windows (like a window behind a window behind shutters) and block out any street noise. You can tell that Patrizia has been doing this for a while. She answered all of our questions, before we could even ask them, as she showed us around the place. She provides towels/linens/other essentials as well as a hairdryer, umbrellas, maps, travel books, a flashlight, extra outlet adapters, etc. So many little things that just add up to a job well done. She also has a great website that you should check out if only for her (many great) restaurant recommendations. I absolutely recommend this property. It's perfect for families, two couples, or a few good friends like in my situation."

  • The Perfect Pied-a-Terre in Paris

"We spent one week in this wonderful studio apartment and cannot wait to go back. It will likely become our home-away-from-home in Paris. First of all, the apartment is not only exactly as described so that there are no surprises and everything is exactly as it should be per the description, but it's actually even better than that. To say that this apartment is quiet is an understatement. We never heard any street noise even though the windows face the street -- it's a small and ultra quiet street. To have this kind of quiet in Paris is amazing. The bed, as others have said, is extremely comfortable. Everything in the studio is very well thought out, from the cubbies next to each side of the bed with lamps, to the excellent lighting throughout the apartment, to the set up of the kitchen, to the closet and storage space. The big windows provide a lot of light while the excellent drapes keep the apartment dark when you want to sleep. The apartment is air conditioned -- a rarity in Paris and something we definitely needed as Paris experienced a heat wave while we were there. It is also a fantastic asset to have a concierge assigned to you for the duration of your stay. It was reassuring to know that we could contact our concierge for anything we needed. The manager of this apartment is very responsive, available, enthusiastic, warm, and helpful. He even texted me from his vacation. The location of this apartment simply cannot be beat. It is utter perfection to be two blocks from the Seine, right across from the Ile St. Louis. This means you can walk to Notre Dame, throughout the Marais, across both Ile de la Cité and Ile St Louis as well as get to the Left Bank within minutes. Furthermore, the building itself has two entrances, so all you have to do is exit the far side and you are on one of the best streets in the Marais for everything you need: bakery, fresh produce, chocolate, wine, prepared foods, supermarket. And you are right at one of the most convenient metro stops: St. Paul. At the base of the building there is even a lovely restaurant with delicious food. We loved staying here and recommend it to you most highly."
