This is an idyllic place! Perfect in every way. I haven't slept so well for years. Dee is definitely a 5 star host!! Between the pond, the clip clop of horse hooves, the sounds of autumn whispering through trees, and the cabin was absolutely perfect in every way!

We loved staying at this VRBO property! The outdoor space was ideal for a campfire and relaxing. Beautifully maintained property. You could see the lake through the trees while relaxing. The property has a cozy cottage feel, but still enough space for the whole family. The kids had fun fishing at the doc and caught bluegills. The kitchen had everything we needed and there were plenty of linens and towels. The proximity to Mammoth Cave National park (35 minutes) and Bowling Green (40 minutes) was great! We will be back!

We had a great time at Shady Pines, with 3 generations coming together for a relaxing and fun lake weekend! The cabin was beautifully decorated and full of thoughtful details to make our stay perfect. Thanks for opening your space to us to make memories! Would love to come back!

It’s a nice little place. Everything was neat and clean. Communication with host was prompt. Great location for fishing at Barren. Boat ramp is just right up the road. We will definitely be back. Doug

My 1st time doing something like this and i was blown away! I loved the hospitality! Everything that you need is available and it was super cozy and comfortable and it was clean! The host was veryprompt in their responses any time i had questions! The fresh eggs were a bonus and super tasty! I really recommend this place 👌

Jan is a beautiful soul, the property is beautiful, right on the water. And the lodgings are cozy
