Manteo family rentals

This is our 2nd time staying at this condo (and Pirates Cove) and we LOVE it! It has everything our family needs, feels like we all have space to recharge yet also be together. We love the view of the marina and sound, and the quick access to the pool, counts, restaurant, etc. it’s our perfect vaca place!

Our stay at your Shallowbag Bay Club condo was nothing short of fantastic! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the attention to detail, cleanliness, and overall ambiance of the condo. The location was perfect — close enough to attractions and restaurants but tucked away for a peaceful retreat.The property itself is beautifully decorated and stocked with everything we needed, from cozy linens to a well-equipped kitchen. Every aspect of the condo made our stay incredibly comfortable. The outdoor space is a real highlight (see photos) whether sipping coffee in the morning or relaxing in the evening, it felt like our private little oasis.The hosts Robert and Lisa are exceptional — responsive, friendly, and truly invested in making our experience wonderful. Their thoughtful touches, like local recommendations made all the difference since this was our first visit to The Outer Banks.If you're looking for a stay that combines luxury, comfort, and convenience, this is it. Nice clean rental close to the pool and restaurant. Owners were quick to respond and very helpful. Check in was no hassle and it was nice having security monitoring with two teenage girls. The pool area was very accommodating and great for days when the red flags were out. Nicely decorated but would like to see more baking pans ( cookies sheet, pizza pan, etc.). Overall very nice and I would recommend to friends.

We so loved staying on this beautiful yacht in the quaint little town of Manteo on the sound! Katherine and Dan make you feel very welcomed as well as all the people on the dock and in the town! It felt like home! Always very responsive to any questions we had and recommended places to eat or visit. We brought our pups, Mickey and Minnie, and everyone knew who they were and were all concerned when Mickey had a potential life threatening issue (sand impaction is a real thing) and almost was hospitalized. I highly recommend Roanoke Island Animal Clinic as well! The area is very dog friendly. We also highly recommend the sunset cruise with Katherine and Dan on their beautiful sailboat! They allow you to navigate the waters at Dan's direction which is a very cool experience as well. If you're looking for a very unique vacation and experience, you need to book with them for both! (Well, we really would rather keep this place our own little secret lol). Thank you Katherine and Dan for a wonderful vacation. We found our new happy place!

We were in town for our grandson's high school graduation. Place was clean and simple...just perfect for us. We always love the quaint downtown area with shops and restaurants nearby. Host was very responsive when we ran into a little snag which was solved quickly. We would definitely stay again.

Amazingly clean and very well appointed, everything you could possibly need, great view quiet neighborhood.

The location was perfect for us as we brought out bicycles- perfect distance to shops and to the festival park. Parking on the property was a bit tight with our truck but very doable. The mini kitchen had everything we needed to prepare lunches and snacks while we were visiting. My husband and I both enjoyed the comfort of the bed- we are picky!! Gia was very responsive and gave lots of local suggestions!

Great location in Manteo. The over-garage apartment is very well done and has everything you need for a stay. It’s nice that there are three separate rooms…bedroom, bathroom and kitchen/tv room. We have already booked our next visit here.
