The property is exactly what you see in the pictures and even more. When we were there, they checked in to make sure we had everything. Us with things. I’ll be going back..

You will not be disappointed staying here. Harley and Nevia will take great care of you. The location was perfect as we didn’t want to be in the busy downtown area. It’s close to Secret beach. Be sure and get a golf cart and bring mosquito spray if you have sweet blood. Lots of boating excursions that will pick you up right at the dock. Can’t wait to go back! Highly recommend Los Encantos.

As echoed in previous reviews the listing and description of property were spot on. To us (two couples, 50 somethings) the location of this villa on the property was the best. VRBO will only let me write a few paragraphs so here are the highlights. Pre trip communication with owner (Charlie) was great. While onsite Damian was very helpful and got us anything we needed. Rocky the guard dog was awesome! When someone would walk down to the beach area he would follow them and make sure they made it back to their villa then guard their door for a little while. Never bothered you for loves but did enjoy getting brushed, someone left us a dog brush at our front door. Damian recommended using Clinton at Ali-Mermaid Adventures, they were awesome. Did a whole day with Eddie "Lover", great tour guide and made us some epic fresh ceviche. They will custom fit your excursion into anything you want or need. Rented our cart from Isla Bonita Cart rentals, great guys and very responsive to questions/challenges. Caye Villas offer everything you could want or need and start you off with a package of coffee, a couple of mugs and some hot sauce. Two restaurants are extremely close to villa, Comida Rey and Tropical Escape, we ate there multiple times! Also, the Winey Gringa is a small party store with the basics and is right next to Comida Rey. The Villa is laid out well, comfortable and provides a great home base. Do not hesitate to book!

We enjoyed the much needed break from work and our busy life at home. We enjoyed the sun rises and sunsets. Pool, canoes and being walking distance from everything in the village. We enjoyed your caregivers Rubien and Rufina, and Luna the dog. Hope to book with you again soon.

This place was perfect for our two families of four. Two of the bedrooms are completely separate (you have to go outside to enter), which was nice for a little bit of separation. Kitchen has full size appliances and a dishwasher! The screened in porch is great for evening bugs. Ruben takes amazing care of the grounds. He was outside raking the sand every morning (I think he sprays for bugs too, which was great. We definitely got way more bug bites when we went out to dinner at night than when we stayed home). We had Ruben and Mariza cook for us two nights and it was sooo delicious. Agree with everyone else, much better than the food we got out. Everyone raves about the key lime pie which was delicious, but the chocolate cake was amazing! Definitely get the 2 for 1 pizzas at Turtle Inn on Sunday night. They are great. The water and beach right at the house were perfect for our 5-8 yo kids. They loved the kayaks and SUP. On calm days, you can go quite far up and down the shoreline. It’s very close to the airport but no early or late flights. It really didn’t disturb our experience. We rented a car and drove from BZE. Easy drive and given the location, was really necessary. You are far enough from Placencia town and/or Maya Beach that you will want transportation. Amazing place, would definitely recommend!

We recently stayed at Our Special Harbor and it was fantastic! The house was super clean and well stocked. The check in process was seamless and Herbert was an exceptional host! He answered all my questions, gave suggestions for restaurants and excursions and was extremely easy to work with - easily the best VRBO host I've had the pleasure working with. Teo, the caretaker, kept the grounds spotless! We drove from Belize City to Placencia and it was very easy. For us, the entire Placencia peninsula was extremely quiet...it felt like we were practically the only people on vacation! We were able to walk into restaurants at any time of the day and never had to wait. We enjoyed several meals at Maya Beach Bistro - it was our favorite! We also enjoyed Naia; the Barefoot Bar for yummy drinks and appetizers; my girls loved the coffee at Brewed Awakenings and we all loved the gelato at Tutti Frutti. Having the pool right on the ocean was amazing! When we were there, the ocean wasn't as clear in front of the house as it was in Placencia itself. It didn't bother us at all, but just thought I'd share. You also cannot get very far walking on the beach if that is important to you. However, it is an amazing property and you cannot beat the view. We went on an island hopping tour with Go Sea Tours and snorkeled around Silk Caye & swam with nurse sharks & sea turtles. We also did the Cave Tubing & Xunantunich tour with Truly Wild Belize. I would highly recommend them both!

My wife and I spent six great weeks at the Placencia Beach House from December to February. During that time, we had guests visit utilizing the extra beds. The setup is great for up to 4 adults and 2 kids (the bunkbeds are small for adults). The transfer from the airport was super easy and just a short taxi ride. The house is on the sidewalk and is just less than a mile to the point. We made the walk multiple times a day enjoying the beauty and friendly people of Placencia. The walk helped offset the food and beverage intake. The Placencia Beach Club is a short walk away. There are multiple places to get great food and drinks. The property is postcard beautiful. We enjoyed the open-air living that seemed to give more of a Island Living feel. We spent all our time on the patio enjoying the weather, views and hammocks. Some days the ocean was smooth as glass and others had waves rolling in. The ocean is typically very clear with a great sand bottom right outside our door. We would rate our experience a 10+. We have done many all-inclusive resorts in Mexico, but this had a completely different enjoyment.
