Well kept, great host, Quiet.

We spent a week at this gorgeous and sweet little home at the edge of a Maine inlet. Everything we needed or wanted was there including paddle boards and kayaks, a little playground, and comfortable sweet indoor living spaces. Definitely will try to come again!

We loved our week at Jaja's cozy lake house. It feels like a cabin but it's got all the amenities you'll need (the actual house is brighter and more spacious than it appears in the photos). Biscay Pond is perfect for paddling, fishing, swimming, and stargazing. Supermarket, Damariscotta, and the coast are all easy drives away.

My wife and I stayed a week at this property in April 2021. We like it so much that wanted to extend our stay ANOTHER week, but (sadly) the property was booked for the week after us. It is EXACTLY as pictured. The positive feelings of the place really strike you as soon as you enter. It is clean, well equipped, and everything about the property is of a high standard. The views of the field and the water are lovely, with geese and turkeys, and other birds in abundance. We just *loved* soaking up the first sun of the season sitting outside in the Adirondack chairs. Well heated (night time temps were in the 30s when we visited). Lovely remote-control propane-fired "woodstove". Comfortable beds with good quality sheets and blankets. Plenty of hot water. All manner of kitchen equipment, dishes and glasses, all in good repair. Big, clean, stainless steel topped, kitchen island made it easy for us to avoid cross-contamination for my wife's food allergies (including Celiac). The owners provide excellent, clear, information about the property and things to do in the surrounding area... with OUTSTANDING attention to detail, and were *very* responsive to questions throughout the week. While lovely and rural and quiet, the location is also surprisingly convenient. There's a small Hannaford's supermarket 10 mins away in Waldoboro, and a *big* Hannaford's is less than 20 mins away in Damariscotta (open until 10PM every night, except Sunday... when it's open until 9PM). A life-saver for us when we realized at 9PM on the day of our arrival that we had forgotten something important. While the Internet connection is excellent, the house wouldn't be perfect for Work-From-Home as there's really not a great spot that's setup as a desk (unless you want to work from the combined kitchen/dining area). That's not a complaint... it is merely an observation. We loved our stay, and we're already planning a return visit. HIGHLY recommended.

Our week was serene and peaceful. We were looking for quiet beauty and we found it here. Justin and Kerry were the perfect hosts and took care with all the necessities and surprising fun little extra details that only brought added charm to an already magical location. Morning coffee on the porch overlooking the pond, listening to the calls of the loons, swinging in a hammock made for two, enjoying wine by the fireside, kayaking around the islands, s'mores by an outdoor firepit and gazing at the star studded skies were only a handful of some of our best memories. This is truly a magical place filled with charm and natural beauty. We did not want to leave!
