Edisto Island house rentals

The property was beautiful with the large oaks surrounding the cute cottage. The private dock was peaceful and we enjoyed crabbing and just relaxing and watching the beautiful sunsets.Tracie was a wonderful host, very informative about the area and made sure we had everything we needed.

We had a great week. IM has everything you might need (and then some). Perfectly furnished. Not too fancy, just comfortable. House layout is great. It was hard for me to tell from the pics but it is much bigger than I originally thought and very “open concept”. I hate to rave about it too much because I really want it to be available the next time we come. IM is next to a beach access, which can be a problem at Edisto BUT this is a no parking access. Doesn’t attract as many people. Perfect location. Can walk to breakfast, the state park and the grocery. Easy access to the beach. Not climbing over a giant dune. Shaded cemented area under the house for the little ones to play with chalk when it’s too sunny to be at the beach. Protected sand area between house and beach for when the beach is too windy. Wonderfully stocked beach equipment closet. Lots of toys for tots and beach games for the older kids. Chairs too. We brought a pack and play and small high chair. Unlike many rentals there is a pantry with more than basics. Pam, spices. Soap at all sinks. TP, a bit of laundry detergent. Paper Towels, dish soap. Even emergency sun screen and tampons. I’m used to having to bring all this. Or buy it at the Pig — well now it’s Food Lion. Plenty to get you started and last the week if it’s just a couple. Bedding is nice. And most importantly, the house is CLEAN!!!! Owners were helpful. I hope we can come again and again! Thank you!

The condition of this cottage is excellent. It's located near the end of a (well maintained) 3/4 mile dirt road in the woods of Edisto Island. It's quiet and pleasant. (If you were traumatized by the movie Deliverance, this might not be for you. :-)) The host is friendly and responsive. Overall, a pleasant stay for a month.

The property was everything we hoped for from the listing. The view of the marsh and beach were amazing and watching the full moon from the porch was memorable. The house was a perfect fit for our annual family vacation with our grown children. Thank you for sharing your lovely home ❤️
