Although this cabin includes Keurig coffee, popcorn, water, and a couple bags of trail mix, Point of Rocks is a 1,500-person town — so your closest hot breakfast options appear to be 10 miles away in Brunswick, MD and Lovettsville, VA. For us, comfort food from the Lovettsville Diner powered my body, and a handy outdoor outlet by Custom Cottage host Alex’s driveway powered my e-bike. This is a great option for C&O travelers, since it is just 1 (uphill, mostly on-street) mile off the towpath. We had a delightful stay, and I would definitely return.

After the exhilarating drive up the mountain we arrived at the beautiful home and had the most wonderful few days of relaxation. Seeing the herds of deer walking around the property was amazing.

My husband and I stayed at Tim’s cottage in middleburg for one night to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. Tim had left a bottle of champagne and chocolate cake for us since he knew it was our anniversary, which was an incredibly thoughtful and kind gesture. The cottage was clean, cute and cozy and the location was incredibly convenient to wineries, breweries and downtown Middleburg. It was truly a staycation to remember!

This location is perfect as a base camp for exploring the area. The host was really nice and has outfitted the old cabin and its newer addition with everything you'll need. The host lives next door but is not visible from the cabin, so it feels woodsy! A big plus is that leashed dog(s) are welcome with permission from the host. Mountain roads, woods, starry sky, hidden driveway, tight parking area, table and chairs outside all lend a quaint and peaceful Blue Ridge atmosphere. We loved it!

We love this home! Jeremy is a wonderful host and this gem of a house is so lovely that we returned for a second time. As a couple of mom friends doing an annual reunion, it’s the perfect spot - clean home with everything you need, close to wineries, comfy beds, fully stocked kitchen, such a cozy place, and now even with a lovely side patio and fire pit - it’s perfect. We so enjoyed our second time here, felt like coming back home. Can’t say enough about Jeremy - he was super responsive, check in was seamless, everything was in perfect condition and he even left a lovely fruit tart dessert for us in the fridge. Such a nice touch. We can’t wait to return again, thank you so much for everything, Jeremy!
