Door County house rentals

We wanted to experience the cherry drop on New Year’s Eve in Sister Bay and also wanted to enjoy the peace and calm of Door in the winter. This cozy cabin was within walking distance of the town for the Cherry Drop and a short drive to parks and hiking trails. The stay was perfect!

This house is a great place for a family vacation. We enjoyed the beautiful water views, kayaks and fishing from the dock. (We did not swim due to thick vegetation in water.). Pretty sunrises and sunsets can be watched from the large deck. Inside is small, but cozy and thoughtfully appointed. So much is included here that will save you packing - extra linens, beach towels, games, toys (baby - 10), coolers, laundry detergent/dryer balls, sound machine, baby monitor, pots/pans/utensils/seasonings, fish cleaning knife, roasting sticks, and the list goes on. It is a quick 15min drive into Sturgeon and one hour to the tip of peninsula to catch the Washington Ferry. My family of 5 had a great time and would definitely stay again.

This is a great quiet and peaceful property with amazing views. Close to so many beautiful hikes and shops... all no more than 30 min at most. Door County in the summer is wonderful but winter is also a must! Many things still open off-season!

Our second time staying at the Sister Bay cottage and it was just as great as the first time. Would definitely recommend and book again!

Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home with us. My daughter and I enjoyed our stay! It was the perfect location to make several day trips in Sturgeon Bay and around Door County. We enjoyed the quiet and peaceful neighborhood after the hustle and bustle of Door County. The home had everything we needed and was very comfortable, clean and organized. There was nothing that we needed that we could not find quickly. I had never been to Door County before, so this was my first trip. I knew I wanted to be as close to the lake as possible and wanted to stay in a cottage/cabin, so I could cook food instead of having to eat out. I came across Andre's listing for his family's cottages, and I booked it. I made the best decision of my life! From the moment we drove into the property, I was thrilled. I could see the lake, the beautiful open space, and the cottages lined up beautifully on the side. Andre was so nice from check in to check out! He walked us through our cabin and let us know he was available if we needed anything, and he REALLY meant it. The second day delivered the amazing sunset I had been hoping for. It was so beautiful! Then, when we got back to our cabin, Andre had left a gift of Door County cherry flavored fudge. It was so kind and thoughtful. On the day we left, I felt so relaxed and rejuvenated from my time there. Andre saw us off and even offered to take a picture of me and my family. Overall, if you want to stay at a quiet, exceptionally clean and welcoming place, with an amazing host, book this location! You will not be disappointed! I plan to go back as soon as I can!

We chose Sunny Bluff for a sisters' reunion and it could not have been more perfect. There were 5 of us and each had their own bed which is very important at our ages (66-80). Two rooms downstairs (the bunk bedroom has a door that can be closed) and the bathroom near the larger bed were shared by 2. The other bathroom situated at the top of the upstairs floor was shared by 3 which worked out very much to our liking. Everyone had beautiful views of the lake. The main level is cozy and had us beginning the day around the large kitchen table, ending the day either around the outdoor fire table enjoying the lovely view of boats and birds and/or inside grouped in front of the fireplace. So very memorable thanks to our attentive host, Lynn. Five stars for sure!
