  • WOW! Truly a 5-star experience - Part III

"For Walmart, and town – just walk right outside the resort. There are local buses every 10 minutes or so…. 3 lines, but each of them go to Walmart first and then to town before they do their full 1.5 hour loops. My 3 year old and I did the full loop once for fun. VERY bouncy so not for the queasy – and you need to be pretty adventurous because you go way out to the rural poor areas – but if you really want to see some non-tourist parts of Mexico, it’s an experience. You’ll need to take a taxi back/stand is right outside Walmart (or walk back from town which we did a few times --- just walk right by McDonald’s – yes you can never get too far away from “America” in tourist-Mexico! Fair is 12 pesos – or you pay with a $1 bill. Yes it bounces like crazy --- but it’s a 5 minute adventure. Walmart has EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING. Stock up and enjoy. They also sell Wine and Alcohol. There is a huge spirits store in the same complex – think “BevMo” with lots of selection --- and a nice food court with about 8 restaurants. We ate there a few times as part of our shopping – pretty much the best deal we found and delicious! We even came back to the Sushi restaurant (Koi Sushi) – which was recommended – and VERY good actually with really good prices too! You can walk into town and the Marina – along the road --- or the beach – but’s it a pretty good distance. Bus (see above) or taxi is better option. Also outside the property is an amazing bakery with cinnamon rolls. You’ll find another kiosk from this bakery just outside Walmart (pretzel rolls, etc.) but for the cinnamon, you have to go the main one. The Marina has high end shopping, lots of U.S. chain restaurants and shops like Haagen Daas, etc. and lots of great Mexican food. If you want to have fish therapy/fish pedicure, do it at the Paradiso Mall in the center court – it’s half the price of the Villa del Arco spa – but DO go into that spa and check it out --- wow – it’s supposedly the largest in Latin America and is just beautiful. Treatments are overpriced, but when in Rome…. When in town, go over and watch the cruise ships arrive and all the day tour operators jocky for business. Cacophony of craziness! Book a sport fishing charter, Scuba (or SNUBA which we did with my 7 year old who loved it) or Sea Trek which will be back operating soon/the area on the sea floor needed time for sand to rebuild after the Hurricane), swim with dolphins, ..."

  • Like the location, poorly equipped for cooking

"We loved the spacious en suite rooms and the quiet beach with crashing waves. There's no swimming on the beach but it's fun to watch the surf. The pool is nice and convenient. We were frustrated daily by the lack of basic consumables in the condo: salt, pepper, dish washer soap, no charcoal or lighter for the grill, not even a pencil or pen to use. There's an oven but no oven- safe dishes to use in it. If you plan to cook, you will need to supply everything. We did get a next day reply from the owner when I emailed him but just to say he is unable to keep the condo stocked with basics. If you want lots of room & a peaceful beach and don't plan to do much in the kitchen, this is a good location and price for a spacious condo."

  • Great views & location

"Beautiful views on the Pacific side of Pedregal but near the top so walking into town is easy(Mostly down hill). Bedrooms were all very spacious. Daily maid service was a nice bonus. Liked that house could be rented as a 4, 5 or 6 bedroom and priced accordingly. Took off one star because patio space by pool was a little tight. Also the house sound system was a portable 'boom box'. I expected a CD player with built in house speakers for the amount we were paying. The booking was handled by Baja Sur Vacation rentals and I was very impressed with their service. It's nice to deal with friendly, attentive people based in the U.S. All my emails and phone calls were quickly replied to. Looking forward to returning to Cabo and using their services again !"

  • WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!

"This review is long overdue. I wanted to set up a SPECIAL experience to propose to the lady I had hoped to spend the rest of my Life with (in Feb 2014). Jeff was so great from the start. He is so quick to respond and offers help and assistance on whatever information you need to plan your great escape! The room was absolutely STUNNING. The view incomparable. The resort – 5 stars hands down. We are now happily married and planning a return visit. Seriously one of the best trips we have ever been on. CABO ROCKS and PUEBLO BONITO IS TOP SHELF. JEFF AGRON – hope to do business with you for many years to come!!! Sincerely Rajesh, Clesia and lil Jaxon Pachai"
