Recent Wyndham Cabo San Lucas (formerly Tesoro Los Cabos) reviews

  • Comfortable, relaxing, everything you need right in the heart of it all.

"Right when we arrived, we felt like we were in our own piece of paradise. We met with the owners, who made us feel very comfortable. They walked us through everything and handed the keys over. The most impressive part of this rental is the view you have. You can sit out on the deck, day or night, and watch the fishing boats coming back in or the tour boat heading out. So much to do in the heart of the marina. The food is unbeleivable. If you prefer to walk around town, you need to start at the cabo cantina for lunch. The food there is very good. And the staff is always welcoming. Back to the condo. It is very nice to have a washer and dryer in the condo. And a full size refrigerator out on deck and one in the kitchen as well. We will be going back to Cabo again and will be staying at this Penthouse 360 Condo again. Highly recommend it."

  • Very comfortable, roomy, well-situated condos for a small or large group.

"This condo building is right in the heart of Cabo, a couple hundred feet from the Marina, where there are great restaurants and shops. It's also on the main shopping street for a bit more variety, as well as close to a major high-end shopping mall with a movie theater. You can walk to a quiet local beach at the near end of the Marina, do a 20 minute walk around the Marina to get to the main beach, Medrano, or take a water taxi for $10-12 for a five minute ride to Medrano. The Marina has water taxi's that will take you out to the Arch and Lover's Beach to snorkel, whale watching boats, fishing boats, etc. Cabo-Adventures is a five-minute walk away where you can play with their dolphins and they will take you up the coast to zip-line, ATV, etc. We did their Sunset Dinner on the beach at their ranch in San Cristobal - it was a favorite of our group and well priced. The Presidential Suite is on the 3rd floor (2nd in Mexico elevator terms), has nice overlooks to the Marina and the pool. Its two adjoined apartments allowed our group of 12 adults to be very comfortable, cook together, and watch Warriors basketball together (though we did that a lot downstairs at Cabo Cantina - our favorite local restaurant on the street). It's a bit rustic with a temperamental stove, some ceiling water damage, and a few dresser drawers that don't work, but we'd trade that off for its roominess and location any day. There is a construction lot with some trash on one side toward the Marina, but nothing's going on there and you quickly get used to looking over it at the Marina and other happenings. Of course, this is a city, with a mix of nice areas and not-so-nice areas. There's a lot of construction going on. The staff was nice and helpful (we did a cleaning service once during our 12 day stay) and there was a security guard at the front door of the complex. We felt the area was friendly and safe for us and our grown kids to wander. We enjoyed our stay very much and would like to return."

  • Perfect condo

"I was traveling solo this trip and this studio condo was perfect. Tesoro is the perfect location, and the condo was clean and well supplied with all necessities. Bath towels, coffee pot, coffee, bottled water at bathroom sink and kitchen. TV and free WiFi. Even had shampoo, which was great since mine didn't get packed. I will definitely be booking this condo again on future trips to Cabo San Lucas. The only thing that I was disappointed about was lack of a parking pass for Tesoro parking lot. I thought all condos came with one, so rented a car. Upon finding out this wasn't the case, I quickly moved to the Mall parking garage which is much more reasonable than Tesoro parking cost. Minor detail and my fault for not confirming this prior to arriving. Right on the marina and walkable to everything...restaurants, bars, excursions or catch a water taxi to Medano Beach. Can't wait to get back."

  • Great Condo. Great Location. Great Service. Can't Wait to Come Back!

"Jim’s Condo was the perfect accommodation for our needs in Cabo. The condo is well located at the Marina right above the Tesoro Resort (condos have no association with the resort). We did not have any need for a car and walked everywhere. We were looking for R&R so nice that the condo is away from the main road with the clubs and bars but still close to restaurants and water activities. I thought the price was a tremendous value for the location and the amenities. The condo itself has two beds and two bathrooms, small family room and kitchen. I came with my adult children but it would be plenty of space for two couples. It is clean, the beds are comfortable and the wifi worked well. We did not use the kitchen to cook so I cannot speak to the stovetop, but note that there is no dishwasher. There is also no washer or dryer in condo or in the condo complex. Ana, Jim’s local property manager who works at the the Hotel Mar de Cortez assisted us by taking our laundry to the full-service laundry services next to the Cortez hotel and dropping it off at the hotel! It was cheap and convenient. Speaking of Anna, she was very helpful during our stay. I felt that we had a personal concierge. She can get you discounts for most activities. We paid $42 (vs. $65) for snorkeling tour and $38 (vs $50) for whale watching. Please note that you need to pay her in pesos. We also asked her many questions and she was always welcoming and patient with us. The Tesoro Resort does not offer day passes for their pool to the public. I highly recommend getting day passes at Grande Playa pool. Call and ask to book the day passes with Ciendy. The price is $25 but you receive a credit for the full amount for food & drinks. There are two pool areas. The Ridge at the top of the hotel has smaller pools but an incredible view. There are two large pools on the main grounds near the beach. You can access both pool areas but need to use your credit at one of the pools. You feel very welcome & the service is great. We walked to the Grande Playa from our condo in 12 minutes. It is on the other side of the Marina. It is a $8, 2 minute taxi ride. I am hoping I can return next January with my husband and another couple to Jim’s condo. One of the best vacations that I have taken recently and Jim’s condo very much contributed to the enjoyment of our overall stay! Thank You!!"
