  • Most relaxing trip ever!

"Our first trip to Cabo, and my husband and I were looking for a place to decompress and spend some kid-free time together. I loved the pictures of this condo and the description of this place as NOT being the place to go if you were looking for wild partying. We couldn't have been happier with this choice! I just don't think the pictures do the place justice. We arrived in the afternoon and Bob had already been to the condo to open the sliders to let in the breeze, and stock the fridge with some cold waters and cervezas to welcome us. And we felt very welcomed! Once we arrived it was very hard to think of any reasons to leave. The view is spectacular, the kitchen well stocked and the bed was super comfortable. Bob and Lynn have thought of everything! We knew immediately that this was a place we would return to. I don't know if it was the timing but it was VERY quiet while we were there. The only other humans we heard were the gardeners occasionally. We slept great and found a way to "squeeze in" naps every day :) Some notes: - We weren't sure if we'd need a car or not but in the end decided to get one and we were glad we did. You don't HAVE to have one but it does give you some freedom to get around. We rented from BBB Rentals and were extremely happy with them. Check them out, they were great to work with - We stopped at Walmart the day we arrived and picked up some basic groceries and we will do the same next time. Walmart is not too far from the condo. We also used the ATM there to change some money to pesos - If you want to eat at Sunset da MonaLisa get your reservations way in advance! We couldn't get in for prime time while we were there, but we did go to the bar and that was pretty awesome too - We loved Tacos Gardenias in town so much we ate there 3 times. Great tacos and ceviche and very reasonably priced. http://www.tacosgardenias.com - We went out for 2 nice dinners- one at Puerta Vieja up the road from Misiones, and one on Medano Beach at Hacienda Cocina & Cantina. Both were great, but Hacienda was worth the trip to see the beautiful grounds. - We did the walk along the beach into town to eat breakfast at Mango deck on our last day. It is a challenging walk (I'm sure my husband will forgive me some day) with a beautiful view the whole time. I recommend wearing some good athletic sandals as you'll be climbing some rocks. We loved this place! Thanks, Bob & Lynn!"

  • Perfect little condo in glorious location

"We just returned from a four day stay in this great little condo in the immaculate complex of Casa del Mar. The condo, which is perfect for a couple or small family, is fully equipped for cooking, and even has a bbq on the sweet little verdandah overlooking the pool. We had many pleasant moments sitting there enjoying the sight and soothing sound of the waves on the Sea of Cortez. The condo is also right next to a super spa and reasonably priced hotel restaurant with delicious food and world class service. Casa del Mar is an immaculately kept resort with beautiful landscaping and lovely fountains. We would highly recommend this property."

  • The best of Cabo is at Casa del Mar!

"This being my first time at Cabo, I was unsure what to expect, so I booked a room at a Hampton Inn that was far from the beach. My daughter was unhappy about no beach access so I decided to go on VRBO and I found #64182. After contacting the owners, Erum and David, they gave us a very good rate for a four night stay. The condo is located in a fabulous resort, Casa del Mar, which is half way between the two towns of Cabo san Lucas, and San Jose del Cabo. A rental car is needed to stay here and I suggest using Cactus Car Rental at the airport. They are easy to work with and don't have "hidden charges". After giving the owners our information we were able to move into the condo the next day. I still haven't told them how easy it was to book their condo and save our vacation. Even though it is small (one bedroom, one bath), we had plenty of space to maneuver around and the pull-out sofa added an extra bed when needed. The bed in the master was firm yet very comfortable with pillows galore. There was a flatscreen in the living room area and another in the master. There are actually eight pools on site at Casa del Mar and we usually went to the main pool which was very large along with a kiddy pool and a hot tub. There is also an exercise room, spa, bar and restaurant at the hotel. The staff is welcoming, friendly and very accommodating. There is also a washer and dryer in the apartment which we used. We barely used the kitchen, as we mainly ate out in the quaint town of San Jose, which was a ten minute ride from the condo. Although we didn't have time to play, there are golf courses everywhere in the area with more to come in the future. The beach is one of the nicest I've seen but the locals deem it unswimable due to the large waves and strong currents. I spent many days walking the beach and went in the water often but it is unsafe for small children. There are three "family beaches" nearby, Playa Pamilla, Playa Santa Maria and my favorite, Chileno Bay. I saw more fish there snorkeling than any other place I can remember. The condo provides coolers so that you can take your drinks and snacks and keep them cold. The security at Casa del Mar is excellent and we felt completely safe our whole trip-it is a gated resort that monitors everyone coming and going. MEGA, a food chain, is a five minute ride so one can stock up and cook at the condo if you wish. We mainly had coffee and snacks in the morning and took off all day to the pool or beaches."

  • No one is better than Gracie!

"My husband and I have vacationed at Dreams for about 6 years. Whale/dolphin watching while eating at the superb breakfast buffet is one of the unique experiences at Dreams. There are two pools, both with swim-up bars, one providing a quiet setting and the other a fun, active setting. The huge beach has many lounge chairs with grass-topped umbrellas(palapas?) The employees are attentive and happy to serve. The place looks like new after the 2014-2015 renovation. In Cabo San Lucas, we love to walk around the marina and shops, scuba dive, fish and visit the glass factory where they hand-blow glass. This year we wanted to rent an additional unit there so our great friends could experience it with us. One of the friends had little time left because of cancer. Dreams was on his "bucket" list. Gracie was there at every step of the way finding travel insurance for him, requesting their rented unit be attached to ours, requesting a gorgeous view on our favorite side of the resort, and having a wheelchair ready or him when we arrived. She was very thoughtful and happy to help make this trip very special. The day before we left, our friend became very ill and unable to travel. Again, with Gracie's cheerful help, she was able to provide any information the insurance company required to help get their full refund. From the time between Sept. when we first talked to Gracie, to after the refund was complete for our friends in Feb., I felt like Gracie was my friend too. If you want a wonderful paradise to relax/play in, and an honest, knowledgeable, and thoughtful manager to rent from, go to Dreams and rent from Gracie!"
