  • What a spot

"El Pescadero is about 30 miles north of Cabo San Lucas and about 60 miles from the San Jose del Cabo airport. This place is well worth the drive. You will need to rent a car, but the highways are fine. This one bedroom has plenty of room. It was pretty quiet when we were there, so the hugh pool and lounge chairs were always open. The view is to the west so the sunsets were spectacular. The beach is long and firm making walks and/or jogs easy. This is an uncrowded and laid back location. Surfing and swimming beach just a short walk north. I recommend Carlito's restaurant in El Pescadero, especially if you like sushi. There is a private restaurant on the property that serves B,L,D with excellent food. They also have beer, soda and water available poolside in coolers that cost $1.00. Austin was easy to work with and very helpful. Would highly recommend this unit for a relaxing getaway."

  • Perfect, simple little home with outdoor living

"This little casita was perfect for our family of four. There are windows everywhere so you can see the stars at night as you lay in bed.The open landscape in the yard allows you to see all the beauty of the ocean, as well as both sunrise and sunset views. It was a very quiet neighborhood, away from all the barking dogs and music that in town rentals come with."

  • Relaxing and comfortable

"We very much enjoyed our week-long stay at Casa Calera, especially the views out over the town and sea. Bring binoculars for getting a better look at the whales (there were lots of them during our end-of- December stay), as the ocean is probably about a mile away. I'd advise pre-loading google maps on your smartphone and closely following Janet's hand-drawn map for your first arrival - there aren't street signs up in that neighborhood. We had a Volkswagen compact sedan rental, which struggled a little on a couple of the parts, but it was do-able. A 4-wheel drive or something with higher clearance would not be out of place for getting to the house or on some surrounding roads (to the beach, for example), but a regular car will make it. Walkable to the "downtown," but you'll need a car to get to the beaches. The area around the house is so peaceful, just the occasional vehicle passing slowly by, and the dogs and lots of roosters as others have noted. The nearest roosters are about a block away, so more background noise than anything else. The neighbor dogs are very friendly (and poorly trained). A good grocery store is just down the hill, on the first paved street. The caretakers, who live in the upper unit, were very friendly and helpful. The unit is quite private as their home's entrance is up the hill. Not a fancy place, but very comfortable and we had a lovely stay."

  • Rejuvenating!

"We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Playa Los Cerritos home. It was exactly what we had hoped for. Quiet, relaxing and a gorgeous view. The home was well equipped and in a great location. Close enough to what we needed but very private. Looking forward to returning again."
