  • Beautiful home, secluded and private

"This house is amazing, huge meticulously landscaped lot, perfect outdoor spaces. Great views, snorkeling right out front with tons of fish."

  • Great location with Views

"Would consider staying at this unit for a few days, as well equipped and maintained. The unit is as described as it is a studio with nice living area and balcony. Kitchen is relatively small, but efficient as it is galley style, with all you may need in terms of dishes, pans, and full size refrig. Open the front door which has a screen door, and you get a nice breeze. You should know that the A/C is off for the "winter" months so use of the fan in the unit is essential to keep it cool during the day as temps were close to 80 degrees when we were there - the material provided prior to the stay did say the unit has no air conditioning and this apparently was decided by the HOA, not necessarily the owner of the unit (it is off for the entire building). Very nice unit that is immaculate! Thanks to the owner and maintenance guy onsite who was very friendly and attentive to the needs of all. Watched several whales from the balcony. Spent time walking the lovely beach and watching world-class kite boarders as the winds were strong, with the exception of a couple of days. The pool is cold, so don't count on spending much time in it. We were told that no pools are heated in the immediate area of Los Barrilles or the East Cape."

  • PARADISE FOUND

"For my 70th birthday month celebration, my wife and I were going to do another round trip of the Baja peninsula, but were choosing some different places to stay than on previous trips. We found a winner in Casa Dina. We had scheduled a week at Casa Dina and another week at our favorite little East Cape hotel, Rancho Leonero. As all of the other reviews suggest, this house has everything you could want in a vacation home...great house, wonderful beach, perfect host in Duke, a step back in time town with Los Barriles. The very best compliment and comment we can make is that after two days at Casa Dina, we called Rancho Leonero and cancelled our reservations ( losing our $650 deposit) and rented Casa Dina for another week. It was one of the best decisions we've ever made. We had a perfect time. Another couple flew down from San Diego to enjoy the good life with us, staying in the ideal guest quarters that Duke has provided. We snorkeled the little reef right in front, paddled the kayaks up and down the beach, floated in pool rafts in 82 degree water, watched every sunrise with hot coffee in hand, barbecued steaks on Duke's Weber gas grill, went to the restaurants that Duke suggested, fished on the panga that he recommended, swam in his beautiful pool, were invited ( and attended) his birthday party of 50 or so local friends, got our dog fix in everyday with gentle Gia, watched the fishing boat operations in beautiful Palmas Bay and RELAXED. Everything is just the way you want it with Casa Dina. We've rented other houses in East Cape and throughout the peninsula, but this is the hands down winner. We will be returning often to enjoy Duke and Casa Dina....you should, too. Oh, and rent a car at the San Jose airport to increase your pleasure of enjoying the whole East Cape experience...it's cheaper than the RT van ride and very convenient."

  • We loved it

"I just can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay at Kathryn & Leo's beautiful condo and the wonderful people (Pedro & Gaby) and facilities at the Villas. Although the kitchen is fully stocked, Los Barilles offers so many wonderful dining choices we didn't cook once in 12 days; love Caleb's Cafe for breakfast and El Gecko for lunch. All the comments everyone else has made are true. This is our number one happy place above all others. We hope to return next year. Thanks for everything."
