  • Second Time Back

"This was my family's second time at Dave and Rebecca's, and it was just as good, if not better, than the last (please see my previous review "Kiteboarder's Delight.") There have been a few upgrades since the last time we were here--dish television, new rooftop deck furniture, and brand new Tommy Bahamas beach chairs and umbrellas for each casa. All of which were appreciated. We were basically the only guests there during our stay, which allowed our kids to blatantly monopolize the pool every day. They also basically took ownership of Missy the dog, and are still talking about how much they miss her. It feels like a home to us, and Dave and Rebecca are the reason for that. They were even kind enough to include us in their Thanksgiving dinner, which was so thoughtful. I look hard for deals, and I honestly feel like this place is the best value in Los Barriles. The pool and rooftop deck are amazing, and the casa had everything we could possibly want--there is even a rice cooker in the kitchen! We cooked in most meals, so we really appreciated the well appointed kitchen. Dave and Rebecca are readily available, but respect your privacy. You really can't go wrong here. The East Cape is an undiscovered gem so get here before the development. Miles of vacant white sand beaches, amazing food, friendly locals, incredible diving and doesn't get better. We will be back, and we will not bother looking at any other place to stay. Thanks to Dave and Rebecca for another wonderful holiday!!!!"

  • Wonderful unit...couldn't be happier with our experience!

"We have stayed at several of the units in this building. I was a bit apprehensive to rent this one because of some of the negative reviews. However, we were so pleasantly surprised with our experience! The owner was very responsive when I asked questions about the property and even tried to get the adjoining unit for my parents (unfortunately, it was already booked). The unit was in great shape and, although, the dryer and dishwasher weren't outstanding, they worked and were typical for Mexico. The balconies on the 1 bedrooms aren't very large, but that is the case for all of them. Overall, it was a great stay and the unit was very clean and very nice and the A/C worked great! Hint to future renters: be sure to get the unit number from the owner before you arrive."

  • Fantastic Home!

"Our family of 7 stayed here in Dec. What a lovely retreat. Away from it all, nothing but relaxation. We loved Kayaking, beach combing, swimming, and exploring the area on the ATV. A day trip into San Jose Del Cabo was very doable , visiting gorgeous beaches along the "corridor". The drive to Los Barilles is curving and slow, but worth it for a great grocery store, restaurants, bakery and a bit of good shopping. Our favorite restaurant there was Hermans, cute, great food and THE BEST hand made Margarita! Herman himself is a character! Closer to the house, we found the food at Las Terraces Very good and inexpensive. Our son-in-law hired a local fisherman for $160.00 to take him out on a boat on a calm morning, within 2 hours they had to return they had caught so many fish! Most notably a 125 lb. Marlin! The captain completely cleaned the meat for him too. The beaches both directions from the house were great to explore, at times you will even find cows, complete with bells on them! Birds of prey are abundant in the area, we enjoyed watching them. The T.V. room is such a nice bonus, including a good collection of videos and books. One can arrange to have massages right at the house by arranging them at the hotel Las Terraces, just blocks from the house. Staying at Tres Hijas is not your ordinary Mexico experience, it is a True and real experience. If you don't mind being away from the madding crowds, you will love it here as we did! We look forward to our next visit very much!"
