  • Great place!

"This is a really nice house an an excellent location. It's right on the beach, it's very quiet and a couple of miles away from town, but not far to go back to restaurants, stores etc. We had a very relaxing time there, and I am already thinking about going back!. No complaints about the house, very well kept up and nicely decorated, everything was very clean. The only thing to know, which doesn't have anything to do with the property - the beach in this area is very rocky. If you want to swim you need shoes to get into the water. Beach in town is better for swimming."

  • Perfection!

"Mark and Jennifer, We cannot thank you enough for sharing your piece of paradise with our family. Your oceanfront house could not be more perfect! We felt like we were living a dream. My favorite spot was sitting on the balcony and enjoying the palm trees and ocean view. Your home had EVERYTHING we could possible need. We especially appreciated the TV purchase so we could hook up our equipment and have movie and popcorn nights. I also loved sleeping in the palm tree bedroom with the door open at night listening to the sound of the waves. This was our third stay in Los Barilles, and by far our best experience. Thank you for being such kind and friendly hostesses. I am in the process of reviewing my pictures and plan to make a picture book for my family. The pictures look AMAZING! We look forward to coming back. If anyone reading this is contemplating staying here, DON'T hesitate! It's worth every penny!"

  • The Best Vacation

"17(13 adults and 4 kids) of us converged at Casa de las Palmas to celebrate my moms birthday. All I can say is wow, this was one of the best vacations I've ever been on. The pictures do NOT do the place justice. It is an incredible place that easily handled our large group. The way the bedrooms are separated from the main great room allows the folks that stay up later than others to enjoy and not worry about disturbing anybody. Some people would hang by the pool, others would head to the beach, and if the hammock was open you could chill there. We opted to have our dinners cooked by Rogelio and his assistant. The meals were unbelievable! We had Mexican dishes the first 4 nights and then we gave him free reign to make what ever he wanted. Outside of choosing this house, it was one of the best decisions we made. Now let's talk about Mary which is another reason to choose this house. I was the coordinator of our large group and worked with Mary on everything from Round trip airport transportation(Max), stocking of the house with food and beverages before we got there, lining up the cook and menu, getting a 4 seat quad for people to take turns using, reserving a snorkel trip with Claire and Simon down to Cabo Pulmo, and on and on. Lets just say that I felt like I knew Mary before I even got there. Mary is very well connected with the community and can help with anything while you are there. She would email me once in a while to make sure everything was going well. She is what makes this place special. In closing, if you are comparing properties with this one there is no comparison. I really don't know how you could do any better. We'll be back!"

  • Stunning home and enchanting place!

"I spent the holidays (9 days) at this incredible home with my husband and our 5 kids ages 17-25. We rented out the whole property which included the main house, the apartment and the casita. It fit us perfectly and better yet, provided plenty of both togetherness and private time. The architecture is truly magical. That word seems overused but it is true. You must keep your eyes open for all the details... the Mexican tiles, the creative spaces and the unusual & unique features abound. It is truly Mexican in nature with most rooms not connected to each other, but opening to the outside. The location was also great if you are craving some quiet and privacy. It's about a 15-20 minute walk to the beach... but it's perfect. There are also beautiful views and I got up each morning for the sunrise over the Sea of Cortez. In addition, the staff was great and responsive to our needs. We also had meals brought in 4 times, which were wonderful! They quietly served us delicious food and then cleaned up! What a treat. I'd also recommend you rent 4-wheelers to get around. It's the preferred method of travel in the quiet and quaint town of Los Barriles. We loved it and will definitely return. Thank you for your beautiful home!"
