  • we will be back!

"Can't say enough wonderful things about this rental! Great location, views, decor, well stocked kitchen, air conditioning year round. Nice to be able to access the hotel amenities with the privacy and comfort of a condo! You can literally open one of your two patio doors, walk 6 steps and be in the pool, then about 5 or 6 more steps and you are sitting at the swim up bar! We appreciated the wifi, free long distance phone to the US and Dish. We had a couple of minor problems with the TV and Steve fixed them on the spot! Los Barilles is perfect if you want a safe, friendly, laid back visit to Mexico for fishing and water sports without all of the crazy tourist activiites of Cabo San Lucas. We have done lots of VRBO rentals and this is probably our all time favorite."

  • All around wonderful

"We had a wonderful week in this beautiful home! It was our first time to the Los Barriles area. This home is fully stocked with an awesome contemporary vibe that we just loved. The home is new so the water is treated and can be used right out of the tap which was a welcome surprise. Great layout for two couples, local artwork, comfortable varied outdoor spaces for sunshine or shade to meet your mood; we were outside nearly all the time we weren't sleeping. Sunrises out the front over the Sea, sunsets out the back over the pool looking at the mountains. The home is located on the widest part of the sandy beach; gorgeous water, easy swimming (although it gets deep very quickly); hardly anyone else around; a short, easy walk to the main street of this small, quaint, "real feeling" town. No sense of tourists or "spring break" anywhere at this end of the beach. We loved the food in town, whether it was an open-air dirt floor taco stop or The Casita, (where reservations are often needed) serving incredibly fresh seafood, we found it all delicious! We did not rent a car; we had the management company arrange transportation to and from the airport which worked out great. We did rent ATVs in town two separate days in order to drive up or down the beach exploring the area a bit. We especially loved the ride North up to the point near Punta Pescadero. Desert and Sea with mountains thrown in...amazing. Bring plenty of cash (dollars are OK) as none of the merchants take credit cards and the ATM in town can be unreliable. Two of our days were very windy which brought out the kite boarders, but made it harder to enjoy relaxing on the beach...which just meant we relaxed on the beautiful patio of the home. The rest of our days (mid-March) were fabulous sunshine and calm air. Working with the owner and the management team was a breeze. Los Barriles, we will meet again!"

  • very comfortable and safe

"The villa was clean and very comfortable. We felt safe. The villa was not as close to the beach as we had hoped but it was fine. There is a nice hiking trail behind the house. The rooftop deck was awesome for yoga, grilling, etc."

  • Great Time at Casa Dina

"Casa Dina is as nice as the pictures. The layout of the house is perfect for 4 - 6 people depending on sharing beds. Huge great room opens to the ocean facing deck pool and hot tube. Awesome views up and down the coast. A very nice beach with great snorkeling is right in front of the house. Our group of five guys enjoyed the outdoor pool table and wood fired BBQ set-up. Wi-fi worked well. Nice TV with Direct TV. The place was clean. The kitchen is a bit dated and there is too much stuff in the cabinets. This will be a turnoff for some people. But, on the plus side, there is everything you could possibly need and all the appliances worked just fine. Duke the owner was very helpful with recommendations on restaurants and activities. You'll need a car or ATVs to make it easier to get around. It's about a 20 minute walk down the beach to get to Palmas De Cortez Hotel and downtown area, but that's a tougher walk than it looks. It's quiet at night and during the day there a few ATVs going up and down the beach below the house. This is typical if you stay in a place on the beach anywhere near town. So in summary this a great place for people that want a deluxe beach house that's not pretentious. It's a place that's intended to be lived in! It's not for people looking for some kind of pristine resort experience. We really enjoyed the place and Duke was a terrific host who looks out for his guests and not his wallet. It's a terrific value for what you get and Duke doesn't add any costs like cleaning fees. We would stay there again without hesitation."
