"David and Rebecca did a wonderful job creating the perfect Baja getaway! The 4 casitas were quiet with a really nice pool. It is like a small private resort. There were only 2 of us but it was well worth having a larger place equipped with everything we needed, although we didn't cook much since there are so many awesome restaurants. Except for the night we ate the fish I caught off the beach, a 10 min. walk away. Caught enough to share, David fileted them and Rebecca fried them up - Delicious! Get a 4-wheeler, it is the best way to get around, you can take them anywhere. Even though it is only a 30 min. walk to town and there is a cool local gringo bar less then a 5 min. walk (Los Pescadores) with excellent food and a great margarita. One of the best things was meeting David & Rebecca (Missy too). David had smart ideas for our Mexican house and because of them we won't need a guest house since our family and friends will now be staying at Las Bougan Villas!"

  • Perfect for our family!!

"Everything was perfect for us during our stay at Jeff's house. We rented the guest unit downstairs so we didn't see the rest of the house - but I'm sure it is great. The beds were comfy - we slept great. Loved the outdoor shower - awesome water pressure! Great AC units in both bedrooms and kitchen - very necessary to sleep. There was snorkeling gear and boogie boards there to use. The house is one house away from the beach, which is perfect for swimming with small kids. The best part for us was the access to the Buena Vista Resort which is a 5 minute walk down the beach. The pool there is amazing - swim up bar where you can order food as well, hot tub, great service. Rocco the dog was a highlight too. He is SO sweet and our daughter loved him! Jeff was super accommodating - there were two huge bottles of water in the fridge for us when we arrived and he met us with a smile and an offer of anything we needed! The only drawback if I had to pick one is that the kitchen wasn't very well equipped - not really enough silverware/dishes for more than two or three people. We didn't need it as we had friends staying nearby and we either ate out or ate at their place every night. But for people who really want to cook in the kitchen, it could pose an issue. But other than that, everything was perfect! We will be back! Thanks Jeff!"

  • Stunning home and enchanting place!

"I spent the holidays (9 days) at this incredible home with my husband and our 5 kids ages 17-25. We rented out the whole property which included the main house, the apartment and the casita. It fit us perfectly and better yet, provided plenty of both togetherness and private time. The architecture is truly magical. That word seems overused but it is true. You must keep your eyes open for all the details... the Mexican tiles, the creative spaces and the unusual & unique features abound. It is truly Mexican in nature with most rooms not connected to each other, but opening to the outside. The location was also great if you are craving some quiet and privacy. It's about a 15-20 minute walk to the beach... but it's perfect. There are also beautiful views and I got up each morning for the sunrise over the Sea of Cortez. In addition, the staff was great and responsive to our needs. We also had meals brought in 4 times, which were wonderful! They quietly served us delicious food and then cleaned up! What a treat. I'd also recommend you rent 4-wheelers to get around. It's the preferred method of travel in the quiet and quaint town of Los Barriles. We loved it and will definitely return. Thank you for your beautiful home!"
