  • loved it and exactly as the pictures show

"We truly enjoyed our 2 week stay in the condo. Perfect if looking for a quiet relaxing time. The kitchen was fully stocked with plenty of dishes and pots & pans. The bathroom had plenty of towels but just be sure to bring your own soap, shampoo, etc. The bed was the most comfortable that have slept in Mexico. The unit was very clean and nicely furnished. The patio was large and enjoyed sitting outside watching the sunrise and sunset. Suzanne was a delight to meet and even brought us a couple plastic wine glasses for our use. The large Mega store is a nice walk down the beach and cab back. Zipper and Mama Mia restaurants are close and excellent food! The thing missing was there was no BBQ outside so had to cook our meals inside. Every Friday a older man comes by the pool to sell very fresh seafood of prawns, lobster, scallops, and tuna."

  • The perfect location for relaxation

"Accommodations far exceeded our expectations. If we go back to Cabo there's no way we're going to waste time looking for another place to stay, this is it! El Zalate is a quiet gated community with happy employees who work hard to keep the grounds immaculate. Valerie's condo couldn't be better located - a top floor view of the ocean from both beds and a HUGE deck provided a great view of the waves and whales. The beach front between the condos and water tier with two dunes - this prevents you from really being able to see the waves at a lower level. Both beds are extremely comfortable, plenty of towels are provided, the kitchen has all the essential dishes and utensils and also contains a few basics for cooking - olive oil, salt and pepper, plus whatever goodies previous guests have left behind (including alcohol). Check under both beds and in both closets for pool toys. Weather was high 80s and low 90s during our stay. Both pools were the same temperature, and a little on the chilly side. Pool area was never crowded, with plenty of options for sitting, lounging, laying; shaded or tanning. Every evening around sunset homeowners start trickling in, glass of wine in hand, gathering around a table at the west end of the pool area to catch up and discuss serious home owners business. We loved watching the procession, which happened like clock work as soon as the sun fell behind the western-most condo. They greatly appreciate having that table open for them, which has space to accommodate the group. To get a taxi, just walk next door to worldmark. Agree on a fee, in Pesos, before getting in. If you can, ask for everything in Pesos. While most places will accept USD, you'll get a much better price in Pesos since they don't have to pay to exchange the currency. There's a great restaurant at the worldmark next door, right on the beach. The food was great and the prices were even better. Happy hour is 2-4, with 2 for 1 drinks. Good margaritas. We heard Sardinia, at the top of the hill had good food, but was double the price. Almost to the grocery store, if you turn right on paseo malecon San Jose, there's a long road with resorts on the right, and newer shops and restaurants on the left."

  • Just what we needed!

"My wife and I just spent 6 days at Paula's 2 bedroom ground floor condo near San Jose Del Cabo. The grounds for El Zalate were very well maintained and the staff on property were very friendly. The ground floor setting was perfect for being able to just wander out and sit by the pool for half an hour in the sun and then wander back to sit on the patio in the shade and read a book when the heat got too much. The condo is very well appointed and has pretty much anything you could want. The town is a quick cab ride away and there is an OXXO convenience store (like a 7-11) right at the top of the drive. Paula was very available by email and answered any questions in very short order. We forgot a couple of items of clothing in a closet and the property manager happened to be coming to Vancouver the next week and brought them along with her. Above and Beyond! Very relaxing and would highly recommend a stay."

  • This is the place to stay

"This is the place to stay in San Jose del Cabo. You have the best of both worlds. If you like to mix it up and go out, everything is super close but if you want a total get away, this complex is clean quiet and very well kept. Here are the highlights… 1. Any questions, no matter how silly you may think the owner responds immediately. 2. The location of El Zalte is perfect - 20 minutes from the airport, and close enough to San Jose del Cabo to be able to go out for great meals and shopping. 3. El Zalate is beautiful - located on the beach with three pools and a hot tub. The grounds are well kept and there is a security guard at the front gate who patrols the grounds so you know you are safe. 4. This unit is gorgeous…two bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room, kitchen, deck with beautiful views of the ocean, washer/dryer. If you don't want to eat out a lot, the kitchen is well equipped for cooking and the Mega super market is a ten minute walk. 5. If you don't feel like cooking, there are several restaurants and one right next door - Mama Mia. More on my suggestions on where to eat later. 6. All the extra perks too - tvs in the living room and bedroom, wifi, balcony with beach views, washer/dryer, chairs for the beach, plenty of bach towels, hair dryers in both bathrooms. 7. Gym - I used it every day. 8. Supermarket located in walking distance oh and a Starbucks too. 9. If you rent a car, you just pull right in and park at the open parking spots right in front of the building…very easy. 10. Gym with air conditioning is located in the building that has the OXXO store. So now if you need suggestions on restaurants… Mama Mia - next door for an easy bite to eat Cynthia's - located near the Mega and walking distance on the beach…this is a must if you like good tasty healthy yummy food Flora Farms - a must! beautiful, delicious food in an incredible place…make a reservation Herb Buena - located in Pescadero near Todos Santos if you are going for a sightseeing day. After you eat there, head to Playa Cerritos - beach you can swim in. I can't wait to go back!"
