  • great spot

"loved the condo, only complaint was the construction nearby, but no biggie. pools were warm and wonderful, beach right in front, beds super comfy. the pullout couch could use some updating, pretty much unusable as a bed due to some intense metal bars, think Seinfeld, though our other member was able to sleep on the couch as is just fine. there was an air mattress as well just in case. would highly recommend!"

  • My Happy Place!

"My friends and I just returned from a glorious stay at Las Mananitas. This was my 6th stay at the complex and my first in Penny's unit. After staying in all the buildings, this phase, and this unit are by far my favorite. I had some friends staying at the Coral Baja just up the beach. When I walked to their complex I had a new appreciation for Mananitas. Coral Baja was crowded, noisy, and the rooms were like an extended stay hotel. Mananitas is peaceful, quiet and you feel like you're staying in some ones home. The unit itself is comfortable, beautifully decorated, well stocked, and very, very convenient. Right off the massive patio is a fabulous salt water pool, the well equipped gym is just across the driveway from the front door of the unit. There's a taxi stand across the street at the Hyatt Place, and the staff at the Mananitas front gate can always get you a cab day or night. The city buses stop about 100 feet from the front of the complex and will take you into downtown San Jose for 12 pesos. The Walmart like store known as a landmark there is walking distance and we walked it daily. The store has been called Mega for years, but has recently been changed to La Comer. The complex is always immaculate and the staff has always greeted me with a smiling buenos dias and ready to help in any way they can. I had stayed in five different complexes within a few blocks of Las Mananitas, but over the last 6 years I have stayed exclusively Mananitas. Penny was great to work with. If I had a question, she was very quick to get back to me with an answer. She handles the rental process in a very professional way and I look forward to returning next year. Thanks Again Penny! • Astounding Mexican Villa

"This villa was an amazing home to my girlfriend and I as we spent a week relaxing in Cabo. Right when we walked in the door, we were blown away by how gorgeous everything was. The home has first class amenities and decorations, making us feel like a modern day king and queen. The beach, which was COMPLETELY empty, was a quick 2 minute walk from our front door, making for some lovely afternoon strolls. The house is also conveniently located near several spectacular golf courses as well as Flora Farms, which is one of the best restaurants in all of Cabo. On top of that, the staff of the community (El Encanto De La Laguna) is extremely nice and helpful. Sujey (the women responsible for taking care of the house/guest needs) went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and answer any questions we had (i.e. how do we use the stereo system, when does the gym open, where are good places to eat, etc.). My girlfriend and I can't wait to return, it was one of the best vacations we've ever been on."

  • Wonderfull villa, great setting and surrounding, and thoughtfull owner

"We came mid august, party of six, and had a great time. The villa is extremely beautifull, and furnished with taste. Plenty of common room to meet, or keep to oneself. The villa sits on top of a hill, in a quiet and secure development. In august, only a few houses are occupied, and it feels as we have the town to ourselves (and we had gorgeous weather all week). Jim is a darling, both for getting info on the town (he arranged a great fishing trip through friends of his, we caugth a 180lb Marlin. not bad for rookies) or resolving any issue. Anna, the housemanager is also great, and available. The town is a only a 8-10mn drive, good for grocery shopping, restaurants, and a few shops. Not the Cabo Party town, but a nice mexican village. I recommand the fresh fish at the local market. Not a lot of gringos, but fresh farm veggies and tuna. A great perk is access to the membership only beachclub, with a great pool, great bar, gym, killer lunch and margaritas..... right down the hill. In august, we had about two miles of empty beach just for us, and a almost privatised club !! thanks Jim"
