  • Wonderful place to stay

"We've been coming to San Jose for 9 years and have stayed at Las Mananitas for 5 years. It's perfect for families or anyone who wants a relaxing, peaceful vacation. Rich, the owner was wonderful to work with. Booking with him was super easy and he was kind enough to check in on us a few days into our trip to make sure we had everything we needed. You won't be disappointed staying here. The condo is well appointed and the kitchen has recently been updated. The location is great. We love staying in Phase 1 because it's closest to the beach and the pool is right out front. There is a Mega grocery store about 2 blocks away that has literally anything you want or forgot to pack. We shop there for our groceries(bakery is really good) and found that there are plenty of cabs out front if you need to haul back a big grocery run. Las Mananitas provides little wagons at the entrances of each phase so it makes it easy to unload groceries from the taxi vans and then use the wagons to get the groceries to your unit. (note: you can't take the wagons to the Mega, they are just to haul on the grounds). Our friends stayed at hotels a few properties away and they were very impressed with Las Mananitas. No loud pool electronic music blaring from 10a-10p or fighting over beach chairs at 7am. This is definitely the way to go. There are several restaurants close if you don't want to cook every meal. CJ's Deli and Cynthia Fresh are both wonderful and next door. Across from the Barcelo there are more restaurants & shopping. You can taxi in to town for more options and there is also the Urbano (aka Peso bus) that will take you into town for next to nothing. It picks up right in front of LM. There are usually taxis waiting at the Hyatt Place across the street too. Art Walk is on Thursday evenings and shouldn't be missed. Super fun. Foodies should absolutely consider a reservation at Flora's Field Kitchen. It's farm-to-table and organic and the ambiance is incredible. Their menu is online and you can make reservations online too. They are always booked and it is advisable to make a reservation online before your trip. The cab ride can be in the $30-40 range so don’t head up without a reservation. Tuesday nights they have a Fried Chicken option and it's unbelievable. We’ve been there 4 different vacations and it never fails to impress us. Las Mananitas is beautiful, safe & relaxing. I can’t say enough great things. You will love it here. We'll be back!"

  • Great Condo, Complex and Owner

"We really enjoyed our stay. Everything was as pictured. It was great having a view of the ocean and being able to hear the waves crash at night. Brent was amazing to work with, extremely responsive. We had two adults and two adult/teenager kids and the set up was wonderful. The complex was quite and peaceful. Everyday but one we were the only ones at the pool. San Jose del Cabo is mush more laid back than Cabo. This complex is at the end of the hotel zone. There is a great grocery/Mega store across the street and up the hill, Starbucks, McDonalds, Subway for those that like that. There are also great restaurants and coffee places within walking distance. We used TripAdvisor and the reviews of the restaurants did not disappoint. You can take the local buses (Urbano) for one USD or a few pesos into downtown San Jose. You can also take the air conditioned buses into Cabo for around $3 USD or 32 pesos, just remember that buses stop running at 8:30pm. If we go back to San Jose del Cabo we will stay here again! Beds were comfortable, wifi fast, kitchen well stocked, plenty of towels! The only negative if it even is one is that the development next store was damaged by the big hurricane and envelopment stopped, it just doesn't look pretty but that is it. I strongly recommend you rent this condo if you are looking for a relaxing San Jose del Cabo vacation."

  • Great Stay

"Wife and I, along with another couple, stayed at Mananitas from Dec. 25, 2015 - Jan. 1, 2016. First things first. I really enjoyed working with Ron regarding our stay. He was quick to answer questions via e-mail and we had conversations on the phone and text. Can't say enough about how comfortable I felt heading into this stay. The condo is as advertised, maybe a little better. The kitchen is very well stocked with all the pots and pans, cooking utensils and kitchen supplies. This included two coffee makers, which was really appreciated as we had a decaf drinker and a couple regular coffee drinkers among us. We cooked breakfast most mornings, so we really appreciated the kitchen. This condo has a great veranda/lanai with a spectacular view of the Sea of Cortez. There was a full moon during our stay, so watching the moon rise and the reflection of the water was really something. The wife is not a huge sun person, so she really enjoyed being able to relax and read here during the day and the four of us spent many hours here in the evening. Other highlights: - Great pool options. We are beach people, so did not use the pools, instead enjoying the wide beach. Great place of seaside sunning. - A five minute walk to the Mega, a full service grocery (and more) that will have all the things you would need during your stay. Ron has a cart, cloth bags and bag holders available. These are great as the bags used in Mexico and not comparable to what you might be used to from your local US grocery. - Strong and reliable wi-fi. - Cabs and local busses are a couple minutes walk away. Several good restaurants within walking distance. I see people on message boards talking of walking to town, but that is probably a little over two miles. Bus ride was slightly over $1 and a cab was $6 for four of us. - Very secure setting. Security personnel were very visible, day and night. They quietly went about their business. This was our first stay in San Jose after over a dozen stays in Cabo San Lucas. San Jose is much quieter than San Lucas, which we found quite refreshing. Many good restaurants all over town. I would anticipate that we will be returning to San Jose and this great condo."

  • Fantastic!!

"Once again Nina's condo didn't disappoint! This was my 2nd time staying here & my dughter's first. We both absolutely loved it! The views are awesome from the patio, and you are within walking distance to the grocery store & restaurants. The grounds & pools are immaculately kept and some days you have the pool all to yourself! It doesn't get any better than that! The condo is equipped with everything you need for a day at the beach ( except a small cooler), but they are inexpensive at the Mega. The beds are super comfy and the layout of the condo is fantastic! We will definitely stay here again & recommend it to our friends & family. Thanks Nina!"
