  • A trip of a life time

"We went on this trip as my husband was turning 50, and we shared it with another couple. Memories that we will never forget!. It's very spacious and luxurious Condo right on the beach where you can enjoy a long stroll , or just relaxing without the hassle of vendors. We especially enjoyed the extremely large outdoor patio and a million dollar view overlooking the grounds and the ocean, and if you don`t feel like cooking you can just walk (on the beach) to the next complex for great food (Happy Hour from 3-5 pm). The Security personnel was very helpful, and kind. A short cab ride away will take you along the corridor to fantastic snorkeling, surfing beaches and quaint restaurants loaded with Mexican culture. I can`t wait to go back there again! Quick note about the owner - I feel like I know her personally, quick responses, answered all my questions and easy to deal with. Thank You Clare! - you made my first time renting from an owner a breeze."

  • Exceeding our expectations at Salina del Mar

"Our experience at Salina del Mar was without exception. Six couples traveled together, not knowing exactly what to expect. The supreme excellence and beauty of the physical grounds were only exceeded by the lavish meals prepared by Ericson and Josephina. This is a private house and beach, so there are no "salespeople" to hound anyone enjoying a great vacation. We recommend not only this house, but also Ericson and her crew. Thank you for a fun and relaxing time away!"

  • Great Vacation....the view from the patio of the sunrises make your day!!!

"My husband and myself stayed in this 3 bedroom and 2 bath home for 5 weeks with family members that came to visit throughout the time we spent there. We had the pleasure of meeting the owners Bob and Lupa and having dinner with them a few times well they were in town, and truly enjoyed ther company...great people!! We loved the home, the view is fabulous, we were up every morning to se the stunning sun rise views!!! The house is great for families as the layout lets you have some private time as well. The pool and hot tub were great, we had a hot tub every night and in the morning with our coffee to watch the sunrise. Thanks to Paulino (manager) for looking after everything well we stayed. We have already booked our next year vacation we loved it so much!!"

  • Wonderful place to stay

"We've been coming to San Jose for 9 years and have stayed at Las Mananitas for 5 years. It's perfect for families or anyone who wants a relaxing, peaceful vacation. Rich, the owner was wonderful to work with. Booking with him was super easy and he was kind enough to check in on us a few days into our trip to make sure we had everything we needed. You won't be disappointed staying here. The condo is well appointed and the kitchen has recently been updated. The location is great. We love staying in Phase 1 because it's closest to the beach and the pool is right out front. There is a Mega grocery store about 2 blocks away that has literally anything you want or forgot to pack. We shop there for our groceries(bakery is really good) and found that there are plenty of cabs out front if you need to haul back a big grocery run. Las Mananitas provides little wagons at the entrances of each phase so it makes it easy to unload groceries from the taxi vans and then use the wagons to get the groceries to your unit. (note: you can't take the wagons to the Mega, they are just to haul on the grounds). Our friends stayed at hotels a few properties away and they were very impressed with Las Mananitas. No loud pool electronic music blaring from 10a-10p or fighting over beach chairs at 7am. This is definitely the way to go. There are several restaurants close if you don't want to cook every meal. CJ's Deli and Cynthia Fresh are both wonderful and next door. Across from the Barcelo there are more restaurants & shopping. You can taxi in to town for more options and there is also the Urbano (aka Peso bus) that will take you into town for next to nothing. It picks up right in front of LM. There are usually taxis waiting at the Hyatt Place across the street too. Art Walk is on Thursday evenings and shouldn't be missed. Super fun. Foodies should absolutely consider a reservation at Flora's Field Kitchen. It's farm-to-table and organic and the ambiance is incredible. Their menu is online and you can make reservations online too. They are always booked and it is advisable to make a reservation online before your trip. The cab ride can be in the $30-40 range so don’t head up without a reservation. Tuesday nights they have a Fried Chicken option and it's unbelievable. We’ve been there 4 different vacations and it never fails to impress us. Las Mananitas is beautiful, safe & relaxing. I can’t say enough great things. You will love it here. We'll be back!"
