  • Relaxing Retreat

"We had a WONDERFUL time at Casa Illuminata at the Villages at Loreto Bay. The house was clean, the beds were comfortable, there was cable, AC, and ceiling fans. The kitchen was stocked with cooking utensils, stainless steel appliances, blender, spices, etc. and the home location within the complex was a quick 1-5 min walk to everything (Wine Cellar at Nopolo, El Corazon coffee shop, pools, Inn at Loreto Bay, beach). The pictures don't do the home justice -- there is a courtyard with fountain, and multiple levels for you to relax in. We had a massage at Agnes Boutique, went fishing a few times through a company in town, to Danzante steak house at Villa Del Palmar for a fancier dinner, to Leys in Loreto for groceries, to the wine bar every night, and the coffee shop every day. Everyone was so friendly. The owners even provided an incredibly thoughtful bottle of wine for our honeymoon. We're looking forward to coming back in the near future and bringing family & friends."

  • Everything was great

"The spacious condo was exactly as owner Cilla described. It's in a gated, private area that's quite safe. It's also an easy stroll to the beach and to the marina. The condo units are between monster resorts, Playa Grande and Grand Solmar, but there wasn't much noise coming from either location. There also was very little human presence on the clean, attractive beach, maybe because it's on the Pacific side and not suitable for swimming. It was suitable for strolling, which we did every day. Cilla was very responsive to my inquiries and the rental pricing was good, especially since she did not add tax or cleaning fees or deposit or other misc fees. Parking there is $5/day. I do recommend a car rental (now about $3 per day...but insurance is about $40/day). I also recommend traveling to Todos Santos and dining at a side cafe, and from there driving north and west to the enormous beaches that are virtually deserted!! There are also a number of terrific, must-see beaches in the corridor between Cabo and San Jose. Consider driving to Tobasco Beach (ask Google Maps), parking in the sand lot for 20 pesos, and enjoying massages ($30 for 70 min) and renting a kayak for an easy ride to Lover's Beach and then walking to Divorce Beach. Remember that everything's negotiable with Nacho and his crew, especially if you do package deals (like both massage and kayak rental). Be sure to eat at the local Tobasco cafe, where you'll enjoy large servings of very fresh food that is very low priced, compared to the big adjacent hotels. It's also a good place for watching all the goofy Americans with very red skin. We had a great vacation, and appreciate all of Cilla's help. Yeah, we're coming back."

  • loved it and exactly as the pictures show

"We truly enjoyed our 2 week stay in the condo. Perfect if looking for a quiet relaxing time. The kitchen was fully stocked with plenty of dishes and pots & pans. The bathroom had plenty of towels but just be sure to bring your own soap, shampoo, etc. The bed was the most comfortable that have slept in Mexico. The unit was very clean and nicely furnished. The patio was large and enjoyed sitting outside watching the sunrise and sunset. Suzanne was a delight to meet and even brought us a couple plastic wine glasses for our use. The large Mega store is a nice walk down the beach and cab back. Zipper and Mama Mia restaurants are close and excellent food! The thing missing was there was no BBQ outside so had to cook our meals inside. Every Friday a older man comes by the pool to sell very fresh seafood of prawns, lobster, scallops, and tuna."

  • Even Better Than Expected

"This was our first trip to Loreto and definitely not our last. The Loreto Bay community has everything to make your stay fun, active, comfortable, and safe. The home was well maintained and has all the conveniences. It was clear that Christina wanted to make sure we enjoyed the home as well as our stay, so she provided information on nearby activities and restaurants. Also, the casa's location is also a big plus. It's near an amazing pool, the beach, the golf course, a coffee shop, and yummy restaurants. My boyfriend and I had a couple's massage on the balcony of the hotel spa overlooking the ocean. The crystal blue water with sandy beaches and no crowds, made our stay so relaxing. While I had imagined our trip to Loreto would be wonderful, the actual experience was even better!!"
