  • Beautiful property above and beyond happy with our stay and would definitely come back again!

"El Zalate is my favorite property to stay at when visiting San Jose. This unit was by far my favorite. It was nicely appointed with everything you would need on your trip (including all beach chairs, toys and towels), right down to the citrus press for margaritas!! The patio was so beautiful and quiet with a perfect view of the ocean. The beds in both bedrooms were extremely comfortable and the shower in the master bathroom! I wish I could take that water pressure home with me!! It is close to everything and within walking distance to the Mega grocery store that is huge and clean. Everyone is so friendly here and the restaurants are all delicious! Bill and Nonie make you feel right at home with their welcome book of favorite restaurants and things to do and see. I would definitely stay in this unit again and recommend it to anyone going to San Jose. There may be newer units to stay in in San Jose but El Zalate takes pride in their property and is constantly maintaining it and keeping it lush and beautiful. IF you want to stay somewhere with a lot of action, this is not the place for you. If you want a place that you can thoroughly relax and know you are surrounded by friendly neighbors and you are safe, I would suggest El Zalate!!"

  • Outstanding oceanfront penthouse

"My 2 friends and I had a marvelous time at the Coral Baja Resort in early October! We were delighted to stay in this 3 bedroom penthouse suite. The written description didn't do justice to how large and lovely this condo actually is. Too many amenities to mention. Pat was fantastic to work with and was so helpful. The stunning ocean view, the pool, the happy hours, the on site restaurant, the activities....all filled our days with joy. If you are looking for a condo with oceanfront; multiple entertaining areas each with their own kitchenette; 3 bedrooms with 3 baths; a wonderful owner to assist you; a large master bedroom with oceanfront as well with grocery stores and other restaurants in walking distance...this place is for you."

  • Magical Place!

"This place is very special. We made the long drive from San Diego, which was actually pretty nice. Mike, the owner was helpful in telling us where to stop -which put m at ease as I was a little nervous. My husband has been going to Baja for years on dive trips, but I have never joined him. I finally got the chance this time, and I have to say that this house and the town of Mulege have won my heart. First of all, the pictures do not do this house justice - it is a gorgeous home in a gorgeous setting with plenty of room for large groups. The view will captivate and inspire you. The sunrise every morning is a real treat - don't miss it! I loved feeling like we were the only ones there, in a private oasis. To be able to get in the water any time, snorkel, kayak, paddle board....all there at the house was awesome as well. The snorkeling around the bay is like nothing I've ever seen, the water is so beautiful and clear!! I highly recommend going into the town of Mulege and visiting the local businesses. Everyone was so lovely and welcoming. As someone else mentioned, they are honest, good people....be respectful and friendly...and try to speak a little Spanish with them. I'm still learning, so I was nervous but everyone was so patient and even gave me some pointers :) I also recommend the experiences available such as Saul (owner of a local restaurant) to come cook for you at the house - he and his wife are so sweet and the food is off the charts amazing! Also Juan Carlos who runs a pontoon - takes you out to catch clams and seafood then cooks it for you on a private beach. I want to write a special note about the property manager, Ruben. He is a great guy and was so kind to us...he treated us like family. We cannot say enough about him, and his care for this property and the town of Mulege. We really enjoyed his company, and getting to know him. Mike is lucky to have him looking out for the house!! It was a joy and privilege to visit this beautiful part of Baja, and to stay at Casa de Los Sueños. Thank you to everyone who helped make this such a special experience. We can't wait to return and bring friends to share the experience with!! K & K"
