  • Comfortable, beautiful apartment!

"The apartment is beautiful, comfortable, and, in my opinion, located in the best neighborhood of Guanajuato. It is an easy 10 minute walk to Teatro Juarez and the shops and restaurants in the city center. It is also near my favorite plaza, Mexiamora, it is very safe (I stayed here as a single female and was very comfortable walking around the neighborhood), and there are several nearby stores to buy supplies. My parents, who are in their late 60s/early 70s also stayed here when they came to visit, and even though my mom has issues with her ankle, they were able to walk up and down to the city center without issue. Another plus is that if you need or want to, it is always easy to take a taxi to the apartment, which is not true for many of the rentals in Guanajuato which are in the middle of callejones where cars cannot go. The apartment has a full kitchen, a living area, a bedroom with a comfortable bed, and a bathroom. It also has a balcony, which is great for reading, eating, writing emails, and overlooking the beautiful courtyard and the city below. Gerardo is very hepful and nice, as are the other people who work at the apartment complex. There is plenty of privacy, and I also had the opportunity to meet other interesting travelers who stayed in an apartment. I cannot recommend these apartments enough and I will definitely stay here again when I come back to Guanajuato. Thank you, Gerardo! Nos vemos."

  • Enchanting mountain home

"Set in the low mountains overlooking the valley where Guanajuato is nestled, this architectural original by celebrated Mexican architect, Manuel Parra is delight to stay in. The rooms admit day and night skies and city lights via large windows. Desert vegetation abounds naturally below and is painstakingly cultivated on the property. There is ample room to spread out and have privacy. The furnishings are traditional, comfortable, and inviting. There are patios at different levels, fountains and look-outs. The staff live separately on the property and take good care of it daily. They are warm, eager to please but not intrusive. The town is a 10 minute bus ride in from a five minute walk to the stop, and on the road to nearby villages and local sights. The house has been owned and lived in by three generations of one family and has the intimacy of a family home rather than a cookie cutter BB for tourists. I agree with the other reviews in their praise of this wonderful find!"

  • We had a great time in Guanajuato at Casa Terraza. Highly recommended.

"My family and I (5 people) stayed at Casa Terraza for a total of five nights and had a great time. It is at most a ten minute walk from the main plazas in Guanajuato and since it is located in a more residencial area you also get a chance to experience the real local flavor. It is very close to a roundabout where we had breakfast almost every day: rib, chorizo and adobada tacos at one stand and various gorditas at another. It is also close to Oxxo (convenience store) and Comercial Mexicana (supermarket) so if you needed anything it is easily accesible. If you need a taxi to the center of town it is between $40 and $50 pesos. We had an issue the first day with hot water but Tanya the property manager took care of it quickly and was very helpful with chek-in and check-out. Israel does local tours for Casa Terraza and we took a couple private ones with him an really enjoyed them. We recommended Israel to another family and they were very thankful for the recommendation. The property is in very good condition, well decorated and very clean. We stayed in the "Samba" room which has two bedrooms, one bathroom, full kitchen and living room. Two of us in one room, two in another and one of our kids on the sofa-bed in the living room. In conclusion we enjoyed the place, location and Guanajuato."

  • A charming place to stay

"My friend and I stayed at Casa Caracol at the end of May and early June. It is beautifully situated in the center of town. Shopping, attactions, entertainment all within walking distance. The apartment is well equipped and the beds are comfortable. No need for airconditioning as the windows open at night allow a cool breeze. The rooftop was comfortable to sit during the day or night. Wifi is fast and we had no problem keeping touch with family members at home. The owners Marie and Dean are lovely people who took care of any requests. I will definitely consider staying with them again my next visit to Guanajuato."
