  • Casa Tranquila

"My first trip to Guanajuato Mexico. Such a gorgeous place to visit. We can't wait to visit again. My adult daughter and I really enjoyed the house and it's location near the "Centro". The home is very comfortable and is very user friendly and in a safe location. Beds were comfortable, showers had good water pressure and good hot water, kitchen had good assortment of cooking pots and pans, nice dining area. Fresh fruits and vegetables in and around Embajadora Park at street level. Small stores close by for little things with easy access bigger supermarket close to the big Hidalgo Market south of the "centro". Only drawback that is hard to overcome in a mountain city is the stairway up to the house. Lowlanders such as myself and people with lung issues should be aware of the 6500 foot elevation. It took a few days to get acclimated to the elevation and the steepness of the streets and "callejones". There are easier routes up to the house and after discovering them it made the walk to "el Centro" and back at the end of the day somewhat easier. Alejandro the property manager was great in helping us enjoy our time there. He was very responsive in addressing issues,we had very few, and was a wealth of local information and customs and knew first hand about the attractions that are available to see. He also speaks English well. I will for sure tell friends of this home and encourage them to visit the "Italian mountain city in Mexico". Sooo.... beautiful. Hasta la proxima!"

  • Wonderful home. PF

"The house itself is in a great location. It is remodeled to fit the colonial style and has incredible views. It has multiple city views and wonderful outdoor terraces. Plus, the best part of it is that the property manager is so helpful and gave us great information on a driver, on the house itself and really took care of us. A gem of a person and a gem of a property. We will recommend to friends who are interested in visiting the city."

  • Beautiful place!

"This is a beautiful place with stunning views in a safe neighborhood and easy access to reliable affordable public transport. The host and his family are kind, welcoming, and accommodating, often asking us in for coffee or to join them for dinner. Host even picked us up at the Leon airport. The apartment was lovely and included all of the needed comforts of home. The rooftop terrace was amazing. We could watched the night sky and even saw the New Year's Eve fireworks downtown from there. The walk into dowtown is a bit of a hike - 30 minutes or so - but the buses run frequently and will cost you 5 pesos (currently $0.23 USD). If you 're feeling spendy, take a taxi for less than $2 USD. Easy walking access to delicious fresh foods at local markets and to Café Tal for *excellent* coffee with amazing views of the mountains. Don't miss this place!"

  • The property is beautiful and with perfect location.

"My only suggestion is to add more seating in the open courtyard and the roof. These are such beautiful spots but currently guests can't enjoy them enough. Otherwise it is perfection!"
