  • A lovely home

"We had the pleasure of staying at Casa del Limon over the holidays. The house is perfectly located with relatively easy access with suitcases, and close proximity to restaurants and shops. You will only have a short walk when being dropped off by or hailing a taxi. It's beautifully and comfortably decorated and has a few quirks that are to be expected in a building of this age, but the charm of the residence more than compensates. The roof deck is especially lovely and spacious, and wonderfully warm in the morning when it gets full sun. Prior to going, I had a small concern about being too cold in the house because few (if any) houses in Guanajuato have heating. The owners have several space heaters available, but we never needed them. The extremely thick walls allow the house to maintain a steady temperature throughout the day and night. Wifi was reliable and fast. James, the property manager, is an ex-pat American (fluent in Spanish) and made it easy to settle in. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again."

  • Travel Lust

"Wife, husband, sister and two teenagers stayed for a week. We have stayed in several homes in Guanajuato over the past several years, this will be our go to place now. Unlike many of the older homes in this colonial town that are dark, moist and mildewed this home is light, bright and air with it's open floor plan. We also enjoyed the many patio areas to relax and watch the day go by. The owner could not have been more responsive in setting up our arrival and answer our questions. Like wise the property manager was very helpful and shared his knowledge of the area. We hope to return again soon"

  • A spectacular place to stay

"We've been lucky enough to rent this wonderful home on several occasions over the past eight years. The property is situated just above the city and has unparalleled views, yet is only a ten-minute walk down to the heart of town. The house itself is large and extremely comfortable with five bedrooms, four and a half baths, a beautiful and well-equipped kitchen, plus several outside seating areas to enjoy Guanajuato’s mild and sunny weather. If you’re planning a visit to Guanajuato, especially an extended one, in our view there is simply no better place to stay."

  • Perfect

"This house was quiet, clean and private. It was clean and had all of the necessary amenities. The only thing we wish it had was a breezeway between the bedroom and the kitchen/bathroom. We were there for 4 weeks to learn Spanish. While the walk to town was about 20-25 minutes, it was a pleasant way to start every morning. If your not heading into town, there is plenty around La Presa. Don was very friendly and gave us our privacy. He was also helpful with local landmarks and places to eat. I'd recommend this to anyone staying in Guanajuato."
