  • Amazing place

"We have been staying at Sanctuary 6 several times now and it feels like home to us. It is beautiful, clean, managers are extremely helpful, friendly and nice, the property is meticulously taken care of, the views from the roof deck are breathtaking. The best part is complete privacy and peace that we feel, as if we were living in San Miguel. It is a short walking distance to the center and the arts' market, safe and quaint colonial street. We thoroughly enjoy our stay there. Thank you very much! We will certainly be back and refer others without reservations."

  • Great stay!

"Truly enjoyed our two-month stay in this house. It was our first time, though we've been to San Miguel half-a-dozen times over the last seven or eight years, always renting a house. We like the idea of feeling at a 'home', and this place has it in spades. Spacious, comfortable, clean, and just a delight to be in (kitchen gets special mention -- Diane's a cocinera and knows whatof she speaks!). There was just the two of us for most of our stay (it was fun switching bedrooms every now and then just to enjoy the house's various senses of ambiance), but we did have our daughter and her two children (5 and 9) with us for a couple of weeks. They really enjoyed themselves, for the house and the patio and the terrace are wonderful to kick around and hang out in. Ditto for the neighborhood. So much to see and do -- close in (just north of Orizaba, one of the main east-west streets leading west off of the Ancha), we walked everywhere we needed/wanted to go, and ate ourselves silly in the various restaurants, cafes, storefronts, butcher shops, front stoops and hand-carts. San Antonio is a wonderful section of town, with warm, friendly people everywhere and streets just made for walking around and exploring. Erica, the housekeeper, is an absolute jewel, as is Arcadio, the gardener. Always welcoming and courteous, we never found them intrusive at all (actually looked forward to their arriving). The manager is just a few blocks away, and although we didn't have an occasion to see him much much when we did he was friendly and warm as well. Just a great stay at a great house in a great area in one of the best towns in Mexico -- must say we'll be back..."

  • Beautiful Home away from home!

"This is our second year staying in this lovely house. We are coming back next year and have already booked for February. Our friends and family have come into town and rented the casita so it's great having them here with us. We have only good things to say and will continue to rent here . We love the walk uphill (I am 70 and my husband 67) and walk home every night (but no problem getting an inexpensive cab ride if we are tired) Most nights we walk down to the Jardin to our favorite restaurants, but love living up high where it is more quiet and a little cooler. I love the red tiled kitchen and nice dining area and wonderful big overstuffed chairs and big couch in the living room by the large gas fireplace. It feels very cozy and homey. The bedroom is really large with lots of windows and a small fireplace...tons of closet and drawer space and the mattress is fabulous! The large bathroom is lovely, having an open, airy feeling, giant bathtub and shower with lots of hot water!!!!! We use the "den" a lot as an office and studio, it has tons of light...and beds for extra folks/kids if needed. From the "crow's nest" we have watched many fireworks over the Centro, where there are many celebrations! An incredible view of the entire city and valley....amazing! I adore the garden with big fountain, the many flowers and birds, especially the humming birds! and the outdoor sitting/eating/ working area. We really can't say enough good things about this property, obviously we keep coming back to it! Sabrina is such a great person to work with...always fair and takes care of everything. Luz and Gregario, the housekeeper and gardener do a great job keeping up with maintenance, etc and they just live across the street. The internet is better than some houses we've been in, and there is a local phone. Really can't think of anything we don't like here!!!"

  • Wonderful place to stay!

"The condo is as beautiful in real life as in the pictures. The location is absolutely fabulous. There is an Italian restaurant around the corner where I wouldn't mind eating every day. We stayed for two weeks. The maid came three times during that time. Everything was always clean and delightful. The owner, Heather Hanley, was extremely friendly and helpful in directing us where to eat and shop. I would recommend this place to anyone."
