  • Second Time Visitor

"I just returned from San Miguel for my second stay in this elegant but most comfortable home. You know you have arrived to a special space with the interior courtyard setting a welcoming tone. Every room in the home allows the beautiful nature outside to be viewed and enjoyed inside. The rooftop terrace provided us the perfect cocktail setting. The views made you feel you were in an authentic, European setting. If the spacious rooms and beautiful furnishings weren't enough, you are greeted daily by the most pleasant host Lidia. Her warm, Mexican smile makes you know you are "her guest". Her homemade breakfasts proved to be the best way to start our day! The brief 10-12 minute walk to the center of the village made you feel you were among the locals but don't be fooled! The restaurants are 5-star quality and could rival any large cities line up. Sam Miguel's art galleries, architecture, multiple tour options, shopping and dining are just a few of the must dos! We took a cooking class while there with authentic Mexican ingredients! What a treat to see, hear, smell and taste their real food! "Buen Provecho" Do not miss a chance to stay at this lovely home and experience the charm and magic of San Miguel. It will not be my last visit."

  • Look no further. Cinco Flores is the perfect place to call home.

"As explained, we can confirm it is only steps to the center of San Miguel. We did not have the opportunity to meet Robert and Carol as they were out of town, but there is no question they have a great place and take very good care of their clients."

  • Beautiful, Art-Filled and Perfectly Located

"My husband and I returned to San Miguel after our first trip in 2012. This time we were with two couples who had not been to the City. On our recommendation, we stayed again at Casa Pina, where we had stayed in 2012. The other four were seasoned travelers, and so we held our breath, hoping that they would love Casa Pina as much as we had the first time we were there. We needn't have worried. They were as charmed as we were, and thanked us many times for bringing them to this magical home. Maria and Theresa, the cook and housekeeper, were there again, and were again attentive to our needs . . . and patient with our lack of Spanish speaking skills. Again, we did not take advantage of the lunches that they would have provided, but enjoyed their wonderful breakfasts every morning, as well as one dinner prepared at our request. The house was also beautifully maintained and picked up for our return each late afternoon or evening. Aleida, the owner, was also available to answer any questions that we had, as was the English speaking property manager. The location of the house is without peer. Within 1 1/2 blocks of the Jardin, and very near to the action while being very quiet and secluded. The design and decoration of the house are also very special. Three very private bedroom areas gave each couple all the privacy that they might want, while the common areas (particularly the living/dining room that is open to the courtyard, gave ample space for our time together. A second living room and dining room are available, but seldom used because we didn't want to leave the open air living area and large fireplace - perfect for eliminating any early morning or evening chill. In addition to the ample private areas, the Wi-Fi helped those of us who had to do a little work while we were there."

  • Dreamy Getaway!

"I've just returned with my wife from a few days in Mexico City, followed by a week at this house in San Miguel de Allende (SMA), my best vacation in many years. I'll start by noting that the house is perfectly located under a gorgeous canyon that's part of the Charco del Ingenio, the coolest ''urban'' botanical garden I've ever seen. (You must, too, and go into the canyon!) The house is in a cul de sac not far from anywhere in the old city (Jardin), but quiet, with a lovely roof for gaining Vitamin D while seeing the city and hills (and canyon). Fruit and veggies are nearby at the market, restaurants plentiful! The city is gorgeous and colorful, full of people from all over the world. The house is romantic and cool. I love the master bedroom ceiling! My wife and I loved having our own bathrooms on the same floor, and we loved two things the owner does not mention: the Wi-Fi and a clothes washing machine! We did not cook hot food but we made great yogurt breakfasts every day, stuffed with fruits and nuts (a blessing after too many eggs in Mexico City). Lots of snacks and drinks, too. You should know that the Bonanza food store on nearby Mesones has loads of great provisions.... We never took a taxi, walked all over SMA, both lost weight eating amazing food, drinking very nice wines from all over, including Mexico's Baja California (such as a Nebbiolo at La Virundela, a delightful Argentine restaurant near the Instituto Allende). My wife loved doing yoga in the morning in the azoteca, using the house yoga mat. We made friends around the city during our visit. The property manager, Javier, was readily accessible and responsive. The maid was very nice on her two visits. Baijogo car service quite perfectly got us there from Mexico City and later to the airport. We can't wait to return to SMA!"
