  • Case Girasol: Great house and amenities

"The house is fully equipped, immaculate and beautifully furnished, located in a quiet and peaceful cup-de-sac. It is spacious but at the same time has a cozy and warm feeling. The views from the living areas are amazing, the beds comfortable, and the kitchen contains plenty of spices, pots and pans and dishes. Wifi was dependable - very important! The housekeeper, Marcela is super helpful and friendly, and is readily available to help out. It is about a 10 minute walk into the main part of town, and there are taxis everywhere to bring you back to the casa at the end of a long day. The shopping was plentiful and affordable; I highly recommend the Mercado de las Artesenías (open every day), and also the organic farmers market (on Saturdays). Restaurants - el Muro, Hecho en Mexio, and el Pegaso (great desserts!). La Parroquia and El Correo have delicious breakfasts, and Petit Four, and Cumpanio have pastries guaranteed to make you swoon (and gain weight!). Be sure to visit Johrej Chocolates on Calle Jesus. Try their Mayan hot chocolate and don't leave without buying some candy. A wonderful tour service is Angelica's Transportation and Tours. She and her business partner, Mario speak fluent English and Mario is a history buff who will make your tours fascinating! The rental process was easy and quick; the owners responded promptly to our inquiries. I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone who is looking for a luxurious, affordable and spacious rental in San Miguel."

  • Beautiful Home away from home!

"This is our second year staying in this lovely house. We are coming back next year and have already booked for February. Our friends and family have come into town and rented the casita so it's great having them here with us. We have only good things to say and will continue to rent here . We love the walk uphill (I am 70 and my husband 67) and walk home every night (but no problem getting an inexpensive cab ride if we are tired) Most nights we walk down to the Jardin to our favorite restaurants, but love living up high where it is more quiet and a little cooler. I love the red tiled kitchen and nice dining area and wonderful big overstuffed chairs and big couch in the living room by the large gas fireplace. It feels very cozy and homey. The bedroom is really large with lots of windows and a small fireplace...tons of closet and drawer space and the mattress is fabulous! The large bathroom is lovely, having an open, airy feeling, giant bathtub and shower with lots of hot water!!!!! We use the "den" a lot as an office and studio, it has tons of light...and beds for extra folks/kids if needed. From the "crow's nest" we have watched many fireworks over the Centro, where there are many celebrations! An incredible view of the entire city and valley....amazing! I adore the garden with big fountain, the many flowers and birds, especially the humming birds! and the outdoor sitting/eating/ working area. We really can't say enough good things about this property, obviously we keep coming back to it! Sabrina is such a great person to work with...always fair and takes care of everything. Luz and Gregario, the housekeeper and gardener do a great job keeping up with maintenance, etc and they just live across the street. The internet is better than some houses we've been in, and there is a local phone. Really can't think of anything we don't like here!!!"

  • I love this place!

"Everything was perfect... again! (I stayed in the apartment in September, 2013 as well) It is amazing to have such a private apartment so close to el centro. You are literally up in the pepper trees, and when on the roof terrace, with its fabulous views, you realize that you are higher than any other spot in that part of San Miguel. Sofia met me upon my arrival, even though, since traveling by bus, I didn't have an exact arrival time for her. Erika checked in with me to make sure everything was perfect, and Maria is a delight. The apartment itself is very well equipped, comfortable, and close to everything. I can't think of anything that I would change."

  • Exquisite Home

"My husband and I with our two children recently stayed in this lovely home in San Miguel. We loved it the moment we arrived. We were met by Sofia who worked for the property management and she gave us a tour and debriefed us about the house ie. How to work the three gas fireplaces, stove etc. The house was furnished with local art and antiques. Each room was comfortable and the outside sitting areas were lovely with lush vegetation and beautiful flowering plants. There are four patios/ seating areas and we would move from one to another depending on the time of day and whether we wanted to enjoy the sunset or the more immediate surroundings. The bedrooms were all very comfortable with quality mattresses and bedding. Each bedroom had an ensuite and were full of character with Mexican tiles in the bathrooms and artwork on the walls. The master bedroom had a gas fireplace and the other bedrooms had woodfire places that we were told were for show only. They did add character and as it was chilly in the evenings the space heaters were used in the bedrooms to get rid of any chill. There were also electric blankets that were used so no one was chilled. The two bedrooms were across the courtyard from the main house and the master suite. This would be a great set up for couples or older children. Our children who are 10 and 12 found it a bit frightening the first night but by the second night they were fine and enjoyed their bit of independence! The cook/housekeeper Lola is a lovely person and made a number of delicious meals for us. We felt truly pampered! The location of the home is spectacular. Set slightly up on the hill it affords a great view of the city along with the various churches. There is a small church two doors away which is very pretty and the street itself is cobblestone and full of character . We loved our week in San Miguel. It was a wonderful place to spend Christmas. We were able to partake in a posada and also enjoyed the live nativity scene in the Jardin. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us. We hope to be back one day and will certainly recommend this home to friends."
