  • Beautiful, spacious, convenient!

"My wife and I stayed for about a week with another couple at Casa de la Vista. Gorgeously decorated place! And the location was terrific - just a short walk from the center of town. We were struck by all the modern conveniences provided. A fully stocked kitchen -dishwasher, a large refrigerator, pots, pans, dishes – made cooking as easy as if we were home. Our bedroom, on the third floor, had a terrific terrace, with a view to die for. Our bed was very comfortable, and the en suite bath spacious, with plenty of space to store our stuff. The first level bath included a washer and dryer, which were put to good use. The home’s security system made us feel extremely safe, and the maid service kept the place very clean. We didn’t happen to use most of the amenities available, but we did take advantage of the transportation offered to and from the airport at León. Arrangements were made to pick us up at the airport, and despite the typical delays of modern day air travel, as soon as we picked up our luggage, the driver was there, ready to chauffer us to SMA. Our return flight was early, but our driver was there, at 4:30 am no less, to take us back to León. In summary, I highly recommend staying at Casa de la Vista. Five stars!"

  • What a view!

"By far, the best thing about this house is the view of the city from the rooftop terrace. We were in San Miguel for a week and each morning, several of us got up early, made a pot of coffee, and went up top to watch the sun come up over the city. Such a great way to start the day. Garita is a steep hill so the house is a bit of a trek to get to, but taxis are cheap in SMA. The house is a perfect set up for families or singles but not couples as all of the bedrooms (except the master) have single beds, but this was perfect for our travel group. It's in a secure neighborhood and positioned just so to catch the wind. The rooms have glass doors with a thick curtain to pull across for privacy. Most nights, we slept with the curtain pulled across and left the interior doors open. The only negative comment I would make about the house is the water pressure in the showers. It could use improving. But overall, we had a great time and really enjoyed our stay."

  • Elegant & Comfortable

"Collette was wonderful to deal with! She couldn't have been more attentive to our needs. She has created such a warm & beautifully furnished home. We loved the thick molding in all the rooms, & the French doors with built in screens with an antique blue green patina color which really made the rooms look rich & elegant. It is 5 Star rated, impeccably clean, & comfortable. We couldn't find anything wrong with this place & we are very picky people. What's also nice is each bedroom has its own shower, master with a tiled tub with shower. The Mexican tiled floors are lovely, & the tile design in master bath exquisite! Jose was a delight to talk English with. He has lived in SM all his life. He has such a gentle spirit. We enjoyed taking him to the Mask Museum one afternoon & lunch in his car. Clara is also very kind & sweet! We paid her a couple of afternoons so we could venture out & explore the village on our own. The side street this home is located on is very convenient, safe, & within walking distance to the historical part of town. I highly recommend this property. If you go, absolutely stay a minimum 1 week to enjoy all of the wonderful restaurants & shops! There is so much to see. We particularly liked to meander through the streets to photograph the beautiful & colorful Colonial Buildings & gorgeous carved doors! I shop as organic as possible & there is a very nice organic store, Via Organic, with small restaurant/Café that I shopped at for our staples such as organic bread, maple syrup, eggs, butter, mango juice, fresh fruit, etc...I bought do much I had to take a short taxi ride back. It only takes 1 hour 20 minutes to & from the QRO Airport which was an easy drive arranged through Daniel. The return trip we rode in a beautiful brand new Luxury Toyota which was a very comfortable ride out of SM. If I ever come back this would be a nice place to call home!"

  • Exquisite Home

"My husband and I with our two children recently stayed in this lovely home in San Miguel. We loved it the moment we arrived. We were met by Sofia who worked for the property management and she gave us a tour and debriefed us about the house ie. How to work the three gas fireplaces, stove etc. The house was furnished with local art and antiques. Each room was comfortable and the outside sitting areas were lovely with lush vegetation and beautiful flowering plants. There are four patios/ seating areas and we would move from one to another depending on the time of day and whether we wanted to enjoy the sunset or the more immediate surroundings. The bedrooms were all very comfortable with quality mattresses and bedding. Each bedroom had an ensuite and were full of character with Mexican tiles in the bathrooms and artwork on the walls. The master bedroom had a gas fireplace and the other bedrooms had woodfire places that we were told were for show only. They did add character and as it was chilly in the evenings the space heaters were used in the bedrooms to get rid of any chill. There were also electric blankets that were used so no one was chilled. The two bedrooms were across the courtyard from the main house and the master suite. This would be a great set up for couples or older children. Our children who are 10 and 12 found it a bit frightening the first night but by the second night they were fine and enjoyed their bit of independence! The cook/housekeeper Lola is a lovely person and made a number of delicious meals for us. We felt truly pampered! The location of the home is spectacular. Set slightly up on the hill it affords a great view of the city along with the various churches. There is a small church two doors away which is very pretty and the street itself is cobblestone and full of character . We loved our week in San Miguel. It was a wonderful place to spend Christmas. We were able to partake in a posada and also enjoyed the live nativity scene in the Jardin. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us. We hope to be back one day and will certainly recommend this home to friends."
