  • Wonderful location and serene clean accommodations

"Great accommodations, peaceful, clean and tranquil. The nicest part of town and close to everything! It seemed like I was lodging in Italy rather than Mexico! The small park just steps from the secure casa is stunningly beautiful!"

  • A central city find

"Seven of us had a wonderful stay at this villa, and I would not hesitate a nanosecond to return (probably with a largish group). The location is very convenient. The villa is about two level blocks from Parque Juarez, a city park with play activities for children, a running course for adults, and on the Sunday we were there an art fair. It is about a 8 -10 minute uphill walk to El Jardin, a central beehive of activity, especially near the Christmas holidays. The grounds are beautiful. The house itself is quite comfortable and spacious, and looks like the pictures on the web site. I think we counted four dining areas. Each of the six bedrooms has its own bathroom. Four of the bedrooms are wonderful, especially the master suite. The remaining two are smaller and much more sparsely furnished, but adequate. Although the two rooms had limited hot water, the owner is renovating the property this winter and that concern should be remedied. The owner is quite helpful and responsive. Although we were not used to having personal staff, Sergio and other staff soon made us appreciate their presence. They kept the place clean. They sought to respond quickly to our requests, But best of all, they cooked several meals for us which were delicious. The one downside is that they don't speak English and only one of us spoke any Spanish, and that was basic. Staying at the villa added significantly to enjoying our stay in San Miguel de Allende and I highly recommend the property"

  • Great location, great house, great value!

"We stayed in this house in July and August of 2016 while we were deciding whether or not to move to SMA and again in December while we were waiting for our furniture to arrive for our house. This is a great house. First of all the house manager greats you and takes care of you while you are there. He was even kind enough to stock the house with some basic food and drinks to get us through the first days (have to have coffee the first morning!). The kitchen is more than fantastic for a rental. It's as good or possibly better than home. It is fully stocked with lots of great dinnerware, glassware, pots, pans, serving pieces, storage containers and every utensil you could need. You could easily entertain as many people as you want. It has a dishwasher which is not always the case here. There are 4 bedrooms as listed, two of which as masters. One has a fireplace, separate dressing room and bathroom. There are screens on all upstairs windows for those great cool nights. There are flat screen TVs and DVD players in both masters as well as in the living room. Peggy provides very nice linens which can be difficult to find in most rentals. The house is located in oneinf the best areas of SMA, Guadiana. It is a beautiful, clean, safe and charming area. One and a half blocks down is my favorite park - Guadiana Park. We had 2 dogs and they loved it and we met SO many nice neighbors in the park and along the street. Taxis are easily found on the street or 2 blocks down on the Ancha. There are some great restaurants close by and it is an easy 15 minute walk to the centro. At the end of the street is the Saturday Organic Market. That same venue, Mercado Sano is open 7 days a week with small vendors selling, produce, organic meat, quiches, sausages, coffee, tea, cheeses, desserts and personal natural beauty products - all top of the line. Also close by is the historic Instituto Allende which offers top notch Spanish classes and art classes. We have visited her many times and after years of researching rental properties I found this house to a great value for the house, its size and location. It's a can't miss!"
