  • Beautiful, spacious, convenient!

"My wife and I stayed for about a week with another couple at Casa de la Vista. Gorgeously decorated place! And the location was terrific - just a short walk from the center of town. We were struck by all the modern conveniences provided. A fully stocked kitchen -dishwasher, a large refrigerator, pots, pans, dishes – made cooking as easy as if we were home. Our bedroom, on the third floor, had a terrific terrace, with a view to die for. Our bed was very comfortable, and the en suite bath spacious, with plenty of space to store our stuff. The first level bath included a washer and dryer, which were put to good use. The home’s security system made us feel extremely safe, and the maid service kept the place very clean. We didn’t happen to use most of the amenities available, but we did take advantage of the transportation offered to and from the airport at León. Arrangements were made to pick us up at the airport, and despite the typical delays of modern day air travel, as soon as we picked up our luggage, the driver was there, ready to chauffer us to SMA. Our return flight was early, but our driver was there, at 4:30 am no less, to take us back to León. In summary, I highly recommend staying at Casa de la Vista. Five stars!"

  • 13 Callejon de Chepito, San Miguel de Allende, Mexico

"This property is both beautifully designed and decorated as well as perfectly situated for staying in San Miguel de Allende. There are three separate patios with "picture perfect" views of the city, and a wonderful multi-story layout separating the bedrooms from the TV room, office, dining and seating areas. The housekeeper, Soledad, is a delight, keeps the property immaculate, and is there for your check-in and tour of the casa. You can directly pay her for additional services such as meal preparation and groceries. From the house it is an easy walk downhill to the city center, and almost all of the city's principal attractions. Some may find the walk back uphill a challenge, but If so taxis are cheap and readily available. The owners, Laurie and Larry were fantastic to deal with, and fully provided all the information you might need for your stay. A special aspect of staying here is that you are in a real part of the city that is home to Mexican families, not a sterile Americanized replica. As such, you will hear roosters crowing in the morning, see children playing in the afternoon, and engage with local residents as you come and go. If you want to visit San Miguel but not be part of Mexico, then this location may not be for you. However, you will be missing a tremendous experience. I can not recommend this home and location highly enough, and we will definitely stay there on our next visit to San Miguel."

  • Delightful From Start to Finish

"After nearly a decade of hearing wonderful things about San Miguel we finally took the plunge and reserved Carol's home for a two week stay. We arrived after a long day of travel late in the evening and the night manager was there awaiting us with keys in hand. The pictures really don't do the place justice. It was everything we had hoped for and more: impeccably decorated, clean, quiet, comfortable, and fully accommodating for a couple celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary. We were well taken care of by the staff (Maribel and Ana) and set off each morning down to the Centro to explore, dine, relax, and take many, many photographs. Being situated on a hill above the city center allowed for amazing photos of the sunset as well as daily cardio when we returned. Coming home every evening was so much better than staying in a hotel room! We bought food at the local market and truly felt like we'd found a home away from home. Although there was a neighborhood fiesta during our stay, we were warned well ahead of time by Carol and the on-site manager, Maribel. The good people in San Miguel love a reason to celebrate and they celebrated a full weekend while we were there. There was music and fireworks and children playing from sun up to sun down, but I wouldn't have changed that experience one bit. If you are going to experience what it really feels like to be part of a community while you are vacationing, I can see no better way than to enjoy the festivities with the locals. Otherwise, the house and the complex was whisper quiet during our stay, the songs of hummingbirds notwithstanding. And even upon departure -- when our private livery arrived at 4:30 a.m. to take us to the airport in Leon -- the night manager took our keys and wished us safe travels. Truly a delight from start to finish and an experience we will cherish for a lifetime!"

  • Beautiful Condo

"My friend and I stayed in Heather's condo for two weeks and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect accomodation. It is located close to the Jardin and many excellent restaurants. It is so beautifully decorated and everything you could ask for has been supplied. There is an excellent pastry shop across the street that is really hard to resist. We prepared most of our breakfasts, some lunches and a couple of dinners at the condo and just enjoyed relaxing and enjoying the ambience. There is a grocery store just over a block away and lots of fresh fruit available close by. Heather was so nice and really informative about SMA; we really enjoyed the time we spent with her. She told us about some of her favorite restaurants which ended up being ours too. We hope to be able to return to SMA before too long and hope that we will be able to stay in Heather's condo again."
