  • Great location with TV from home!

"I liked this place the minute I walked in. I have stayed in several resorts in Mexico before, and it didn't even feel like I had left Canada. This unit has the ideal mix of Mexican charm using authentic colours, furnishings and artwork, combined with home comforts like unlimited hot water form an on-demand unit, loads of fluffy white towels, crisp bed linens, Shaw TV and wifi from a dedicated modem. There are newer air conditioning units in both the bedrooms and huge American fans in the Living areas. We ate pretty much all our meals at home on the balcony to enjoy the fantastic sea view. There is a nice common area with pool and patio area under a new palapa. The location was ideal being Beachfront for the view and the breeze and Central for familiar shops like SAMs club, Walmart etc as well as restaurants for all tastes and budgets. My personal favourite is Tacos Bricio for economical real Mexican food, just a ten minute flat walk away."

  • Perfect vacation!

"I can't say enough about how beautiful this place is, and how lovely our time spent there was. My family (husband, 3 children, grandparents) stayed here for a week and were very comfortable, with every wish being taken care of by the excellent staff. The views off the bedrooms and main living area are stunning, and there was always a gentle ocean breeze. Sunsets are amazing, enjoy the view from the beautiful infinity pool. The estate also has an amazing private beach, with it's own set of showers and pools, as well as a safe, inlet sand beach. We did a day trip to see a little town near an active volcano, and we also enjoyed the little restaurants around Manzanillo. But I agree with another reviewer, there is really no need to ever leave this beautiful home! We loved every minute and wished we could have stayed longer. Definitely hope to go back."

  • A PERFECT 10!

"I don't know where to begin. I'm not sure I can give this experience the proper justice but I'll try. Dealing with the owners was as pleasant as you can imagine. When getting to the community and seeing the property was just a Jaw dropper. The staff was waiting for us with Margarita's and showed us around to what is the most beautiful place I've ever stayed. Not only was the staff and home amazing but the drivers and the day trips were just as pleasant. The private beach was awesome and we just took the golf cart. We were swimming in the ocean and looked up to Audi and Alecia (the staff) placing tables together and putting table clothes on and we were like no way, and there it was, shrimp ceviche at the beach with pina colada's. The place was so clean and the meals were all 5 star. We went with 4 couples and all thought it was the best trip ever. The only thing wrong was it goes by way too fast."

  • Muy Bueno!

"I hesitate to add another glowing review for no other reason than I want to keep this gem all to myself! That wouldn't be fair though so I'll add my voice to the mix. Just like the other reviews I can't say enough about the house itself, the owners and the entire rental experience. The house is fantastic; well appointed, very private and a perfect oasis in the midst of the city - and VERY quiet at night. It's within walking distance of restaurants, shops and museums and the good sized private pool is fantastic. Beyond this though, the owners were responsive to all my questions and inquiries and couldn't have been nicer. We only corresponded by email but I feel like I know them. Likewise, their parents who live next door and manage the property were two of the nicest people you'd ever want to meet. We met their dog, saw pictures of their grandchildren and talked to them in passing almost daily. It was a wonderful experience. As for Colima itself, we loved it. We're spending this winter and next looking at potential places to buy a retirement home and Colima is definitely on our short list. It's a very compact livable city with anything you could ever want without being too large or overwhelming. Not every experience we've had with VRBO rentals has been positive but in this case the best thing I can say is there were no surprises. The home was exactly as presented and there was nothing missing or lacking. We're already sorry we have to leave and it's only because of other circumstances that we're not booking next year now, before it's too late. Cheers!"
