  • Even Better Than The Pictures!

"There is nothing like a vacation that exceeds your expectations, especially when they are fairly high going in. We spent two weeks and could have easily stayed two months, the place is so perfect. The first week we had two couples and spent our time surfing out front or just down the beach, lazing in Hammocks, reading books, floating in the pool or splashing in the ocean waves, hitting Rodrigo and Natali's beach bar (Amor Marino Cocktail Bar) for amazing unique cocktails and of course enjoying Carmen's delicious cooking. It was so nice to have the option of having meals cooked for us (and cleaned!) right at the Casa. One night Carmen even organized a local band to come in and play for us during dinner and we turned it in to a bit of a dance party. The second week we had two couples , each with a young child and even with 6 people the place still felt VERY spacious. Lots of room to find your own spot to chill or the whole group could sit together and watch the beautiful sun sets (while munching on Francisco and Carmen's famous Guacamole and sipping a Margarita). We tried Horseback Riding on the beach with Octavio and the kids loved it so much that we did it again. This place works very well for both adults and kids, our son was asking when we were going to come back before we had even left. The weather was pretty much perfect our entire stay, mid 80 degree air and almost as warm of water - I hope Heaven is just as comfortable. We surfed almost everyday and I will always remember my son's first time on a board with me catching waves at Saladita, a super fun left point break about 20 min. up the road. We really felt like we had the red carpet rolled out for us by the staff. The owners are so helpful, answered all of our questions and sent us a VERY detailed pre-arrival information pack that includes excellent restaurant recommendations, (we tried several and we were not disappointed - Johnny's On The Beach and Chenchos were tops, and the ice cream and Cafe Sol was delicious). Upon arrival and during our stay, Carmen and Francisco went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure we had an amazing time, including rescuing us when our car ran out of gas and bringing us special cough medicine for the kids without us even asking for it! We wanted to take them home with us. Muchas Gracias Casa De Helen for one of the best vacations ever!"

  • Absolute gem - unpretentious luxury!

"We were a group of 7 staying over the Christmas break and we very much enjoyed our stay at Casa Maya. Everything was just perfect. We loved all the attention to details that the owners put into the place and especially how they designed the palapa area. Edud and Adely, the onsite caretaker and maid, were great - the property was spotless and gorgeous, inside and out. The main house, closer to the road, has two very spacious rooms. The bungalows are beachfront and are beautifully appointed. They are only a few meters from the pool and the mega-palapa. Everything on site is of high-quality (from teak doors to rustic metal sinks). Luxurious, yet unpretentious. The palapa was our favorite feature, as it stays cool all day (thanks to its size and three ceiling fans) and it has a huge kitchen where we could cook and mix drinks while keeping an eye on the kids playing in the fabulous infinity pool. The view of the ocean from the palapa is absolutely gorgeous - either from the king-size daybed or the massive semi-circular couch that faces the pool. The kitchen had pretty much everything we needed: quality appliances, utensils, dished and pots+pans. They even had a juicer (which we discovered on our last day!) and tons of glass containers with lids for saving leftovers or marinating our food. We would highly recommend renting this luxury villa for families or couples. Note that having a vehicle to get around to Troncones is highly recommended, as there are only a few restaurants that are an easy walking distance for families with children or elderly members."

  • Bonita casita

"Trish (owner) and Tina (property manager) were both great. Super nice and thoughtful. It was our honeymoon so they put pink champagne in the fridge. If we needed anything we just had to ask and it was taken care of quickly. Beautiful casita beautiful view - we had a great time."

  • Relaxing and Fun

"Not only was our 5 day stay in this beautiful guest home relaxing but the host and her husband helped us have a terrific experience! This house is tops; beautiful sandstone floors, terrific ocean views, spotless kitchen, outdoor shower, indoor pool overlooking the ocean, great beds, on and on. But it's the host, Reyna, and her husband, Arturo, who made us feel warm and cared for. Reyna is a great cook and tailored our breakfasts to our wishes. She keeps the home immaculate and ingages in terrific Spanish conversations. (She does speak some English). Her husband is also great. Besides maintaining the beautiful gardens in and around the house, he has a sense of humor. I.e; when the rental car key suddenly disappeared from the key ring I was fit to be tied! After searching around for it, I stopped Alturo and asked for help. He looked at the key ring, pressed a side button, and the key popped out. I stared at the key, then at Alturo and then we both started howling with laughter. I can't wait until our next visit. I plan on taking up Alturo's offer for a fishing and snorkeling tour."
